RCT2day Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) First time posting one of my RCT2 parks. This park is solely dedicated to the music genre of Rock N' Roll. The park's map is divided among seven islands based off bands and their songs. The sections are Early Elvis, Mellow Rock, Woodstock, American Greats, British Invasion, Woodstock, and Led Zepp. This post only has Early Elvis and some of American Greats. Each coaster in the park is named after a famous song or band that would fit in their section (example, Rolling Stones or the Beatles would be in British Invasion). Here are some pix, wouldn't mind some feedback on what I can improve. I justed started the park after all. Moer to come for each section. Entrance 1.BMP Entrance. Dotrobot Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Considering this is NCSO that guitar is done to it's fullest potential. Very nice start here. I'm not crazy about the premade stalls being out in the open though.
RCT2day Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 ^I completely agree with you about the stands, I haven't gotten around to fixing them

sfgamguy Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 The Under Water Cinema Building looks awesome! Im not crazy about some of the layout but they are cool... Rocket man looks good too... Keep it up
RCT2day Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 thanks for the comments ^if you mean the layout of rollercoasters than i know what you mean, space to build was tight
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 ^I see tonnes of room to build. If I may, you probably should have started off with one or two coasters...I mean, other than that, I love the park, and the under water cinema (I'm nicking that idea for the park I'm working on lol).
RCT2day Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 ^Ye, you're definetly right about the mount of space i have left but that will be used for the rest of each section. I regret starting with so many coasters but a common dilema for each section was that there were so many great coaster ideas that to fit them all in i had to compromise with space. i may redo the park and use only one or two coasters for each section but from here on in the next coasters will be more spread out rather than cramped
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 If you're going to start over, try to keep as much of the buildings and scenary if possible. If you need a coaster, I'll happily send you one (with specifics of course). I used to do it for a friend of mine for his parks. It helps with the creativity.
paradisecoaster Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 This must be the greatest idea of a park ever (beacause im totally into rock ;P)

If you need a coaster, I'll happily send you one (with specifics of course). I used to do it for a friend of mine for his parks. It helps with the creativity. That couldn't hurt if i start over but i may break the park down into smaller sections. If I do that, I'll pm you to send me one. Thanks This must be the greatest idea of a park ever (beacause im totally into rock ;P) I LOVE classic rock so when i thought of this i had to do it. My next ideas may be a series of smaller parks for each band, like my contest entry Led Zeppelin Land featuring the killer coaster Stairway to Heaven. Look for my next post on that around Christmas as school takes up 98% of my time.
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 A thought came to me, kind of break the themes down like Hard Rock did...they had a great concept. Oh, if you decide to hit me up for a coaster, make sure you have a space limit...i tend to compact my coaster, and do a great job of making the most. Keep up the good work dude.
RCT2day Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 ^that wouldnt be a bad idea. I like compact coasters better Ok all, need some ideas on coasters for each section. Have some down in the park but tell me if i should get rid of any or add some of your ideas. These sections may be a separate park one day if I find time What we have or am thinking of for American Greats -Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run and Thunder Road -Lynyrd Skynyrd: Freebird -Bon Jovi: Wanted Dead or Alive -Doors: Break on Through (To the Other Side) -Styx: Come Sail Away Some for Woodstock -The Who: Won't Get Fooled Again and Goin' Mobile -Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze and All Along the Watchtower -Something for Janice Joplin but not sure yet British Invasion: Beatles: Come Together and Hello Goodbye Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter The Trogs: Wild Thing Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven and Over the Hills and Far Away For the Mellow and Hard Rock sections, I'll post a list Feedback, ideas, comments always needed
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I'm not getting much out of these ideas...Ironically, for Styx, all I can come up with is an idea for half dark ride, half water coaster. For the Doors, I have a coaster I'm using for that would be great for this, a nice dark ride here, and the footprint is tight too (you just have to have the patience to build a building for it. For the British Invasion, maybe throw something in for Pink Floyd (and Syd Barret). Syd has a song called Effervescent Elephant, and for that, use the Dumbo ride from Dmax's RCT & RCT 2 list.
