CoasterCreator9 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Creative Designs Inc. is constructing their newest park, Bayland Park! ______________________________ Hello everyone, my name is James Smith. I am covering the pre-season construction of Baylands Park, in the popular CDI chain. Here is the recently constructed parking lot. Quite large actually. The main entrance to Baylands Park! Beautiful. The Main Street should be quite popular with nice architecture. The Carousel is wonderfully themed. The park's first coaster, when it opens, will be Rattler, an Arrow Hybrid. More to come soon!
djbrcace1234 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I would put an awning type structure on that food court. It seems a little bare. The hybrid looks. . . Interesting. Maybe a hill terrian like mine train would look better? well anyways, this is indeed a nice start.
Califolf Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I'm liking this new park. Really beautiful, can't wait for more!

Maybe a hill terrian like mine train would look better? well anyways, this is indeed a nice start. The Arrow is actually the hybrid wood structure/steel rails design like Excalibur at ValleyFair. See here and here. I'm liking this new park. Really beautiful, can't wait for more! Thanks! No new update quite yet..
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 The new parks looks very promising, that food/gift stand with the yellow canvas is great! Made my day seeing another park with the mine train in it. Makes all those hours of frustration trying to get it to work worth it. THANKS for using it in your park!

CDI sent the following image and message to all Platinum Pass holders: Hope to see you soon, at Baylands Park!
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 Hey guys! I know it's been awhile for both parks, I've been at Cedar Point the past few days, (got some ideas! ) so here's something to hold you over untill I get home and can make a major update. Enjoy!
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 The wait is FINALLY over! Baylands Park opened at 10:00 am this morning! New coasters such as Chimera, the Vekoma invertigo, were testing around 8:00/9:00. A Disk-O also resides in the "fairgrounds" section. S&S Tri-Towers complete the skyline. Tsunami is an incredible Intamin Blitz. It flies past awesome waterfalls and mountains. Unlike other Blitz's it only has one inversion - a surprise barrel roll! Final turn before the launch tunnel! Flying out over Baylands Lake! A few more turns and back to the station. More flat rides dot the area near the lakeside. A beautiful PTC out-and-back populates the lakeside as well! Meanwhile excited guests head for the main gates! Enjoy the update! Comments/critisim welcome!
djbrcace1234 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 And they're off! In all serious, this is a nice grand openning.
Califolf Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 ^agreed. Love the new rides, they all look fun! Can't wait too see more.
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 Baylands Announces New Rides Fremont, CA - The Creative Designs Inc. owned Baylands Park announced "massive expansion plans" yesterday afternoon. Aside from the usual flat rides, CDI announced "a record breaking roller coaster" and an "innovative dual-tracked enclosed ride" of some sort. Details surrounding the two rides are foggy. Speculations for the enclosed ride include thoughts of a high capacity "haunted mansion" style ride, or an enclosed roller coaster, no one is sure what the ride will be. The roller coaster is a different story. Large amounts of tree clearing had been reported in the last few weeks, but no track was spotted yet. CDI announced a "record breaker" but no details as to what record. More to come soon!
Califolf Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Sounds interesting.... <.< >.> *gets to the drawing board* Looking forward to these new rides, especially the omnimover and "record-breaker"!
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 With CDI rapidly becoming a large company, they need to set an image for Baylands. They did that in Arcadia with Warrior, and Adventure Shore's Atlantic Plummet, but Bayland's most innovative coaster so far is an Intamin Blitz. CDI changes that today with an amazing enclosed log flume, and a massive wooden coaster. Starting out with the log flume, well, it's actually TWO log flumes, both in one building. Say hello to Facility Nine. *Note: Green patches around the building are temporary. Facility Nine's twin factory-themed log flumes interact with each other and the large amounts of scenery inside the building. And, for those of you wondering what it looks like inside... The second new addition to Baylands is Timberliner, the massive Gerstlauer wooden coaster. Sitting in the only place where there was enough room, the back of the park. With a total length of 6,569 feet, Timberliner takes the title of "Longest Wooden Coaster". No loops on this coaster! Twisting like a tornado through the woods, this coaster hits a maximum speed of 66 mph on the first drop! Stats and overview: Comments and Critisim welcome!
braztaz Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I really like the wood coaster. The log flumes are neat, too. Great job!
djbrcace1234 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 It's always nice to see dark rides in parks. I doubt the peeps care about seeing the whole building, but I have always admire the way Disney tries to hide them. However this one doesn't bug me as the main facade travels around the whole building it seems like. Bummer on the high ratings for the woodie As it looks great. I hope that doesn't scare away the guest! Another fine collection of additions here!
Califolf Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Awesome Coaster and awesome flume! I particularly love the latter, very clever. ^^
CoasterCreator9 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 You're going to notice my pictures look a bit different, just resolution changes. (Anyone know a good way to resize them back to 800x600? I could always swap to 800x600 when taking pics, unless you're happy with this!) Not much new, decorations and stations.
dmaxsba2408 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 You will need a photo editor to re size them, Hope you switch back to the closer shots for the next set. Have you been able to get Timberliner under control to improve it's ratings? An industrial log flume, never would have thought of that or how to pull it of. Amazing idea and pulled off perfectly.
CoasterCreator9 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Actually, people ride Timberliner, I was surprised! The railroad was mainly added for ease of access to the area. The default resolution is 80x600, non? I'll simply switch back to that when taking update photos.
CoasterCreator9 Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 Hey all, yes it's alive! Sort of a small update here, busy with many things. Couple of new flats around Facility Nine. Shops added to this nice area as well as an Ice Skating rink, good for those warm days. Annnnnddddd... A beach! Woo!
dmaxsba2408 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Everything fits together so well in that first picture, not really liking the checkered path in the second, it is just a little too busy and I love the beach scene in the third.
