Didn't realize I had so many Knoebels pics. .so breaking up the pics into two posts:
IMG_4993.JPG
park map pic I took (over by Twister)
IMG_5012a.JPG
it's time for the Haunted Mansion!
IMG_5013.JPG
and here's the story behind it. .
IMG_5014.JPG
oooo.. caution!
IMG_5015.JPG
I'm not a-scared. . Alex will protect me!
IMG_5018.JPG
Laura and Alex on Looper
IMG_5019.JPG
they rode it twice, but did manage to get some loop-de-loops on the 2nd ride
IMG_5020.JPG
whee!
IMG_5022.JPG
I found Kosmo and Dexter, in holiday hats!
IMG_5025a.JPG
the Carousel Museum (thru the window, since I forgot to take a pic when I went inside earlier)
IMG_5026.JPG
[KISS] 'oooooo. . .. Black Diamond!" [/KISS]
IMG_5028.JPG
the Eagles were out enjoying (finally) the lack of rain.

tho we did get some drizzle a bit later on.
IMG_5029.JPG
Super Round up. . our view across the wheel
IMG_5030.JPG
and down the side (the squatting lady said she was trying to "hide from your picture"). .

don't ask me. . LOL
IMG_5033.JPG
what's this? what's this? are we at the Grand Carousel?

YEP!
IMG_5034.JPG
beautiful
IMG_5035.JPG
absolutely beautiful
IMG_5036.JPG
and they do still have the "grab the brass" working here. . one of the things it's famous for.
IMG_5044.JPG
Of course you MUST ride on the outside at least once to try to grab the brass
IMG_5047.JPG
no brass.. but lots of steel! my precious!
IMG_5048.JPG
Laura did great too.. .
IMG_5049.JPG
headed over to Sky Slide, to pick up another thing I missed (and get cheese on a stick from Totem Treats which is right there)
IMG_5050.JPG
graceful.

thanks for the picture, Darryl. (LOL)
IMG_5051.JPG
but across the bridge? a Merry Go Round
IMG_5052.JPG
(but called a Carousel on the sign there. . guess Knoebels calls it a Merry Go Round to distinguish that this one is much smaller than the Grand Carousel)
IMG_5053.JPG
it's still beautiful tho!
IMG_5054.JPG
IMG_5055.JPG
with some lovely painting on it.
IMG_5057.JPG
and it too uses a real Organ to provide the music during the ride.
IMG_5058.JPG
doggies were everywhere! this little guy was watching his momma eat something.. .
what was it?
IMG_5060.JPG
same thing I got: Cheese on a Stick!

SOOOOO good.
IMG_5061.JPG
wolfed it down tho, so we could ride the skyway, since it was starting to get very overcast, and wanted to get a ride in.
IMG_5062.JPG
lovely ~20 minute ride.. . some pics at the upper turn around
IMG_5063.JPG
IMG_5064.JPG
we got a few sprinkles, but nothing hard rain. . it did make it a bit darker for the pictures, but still it's a lovely view.

Twister
IMG_5065.JPG
what's this? 1001 Nachts is operating? We'll head there next.
(ouch).
IMG_5067.JPG
Phoenix thru the trees
IMG_5071.JPG
TPR on Downdraft !
IMG_5073.JPG
and then on the Ferris Wheel
IMG_5074.JPG
Our group ended up in line for the Train just in front of another grouping of TPR folks.

we know what that means. . .
IMG_5089.JPG
TPR Train Takeover!

(the older gentleman Engineer - tho he did a "burst", so got about 30 pictures -- still managed to take a good pic of us with my phone).
IMG_5090.JPG
it started to rain, so it was time for TPR Fascination takover!

I believe these pics are all from Andy (tho could have been Brad taking these 1st two)
IMG_5094.JPG
TPR Fascination take-over

Courtesy of Andy (or Brad, maybe?)
IMG_5095.JPG
Courtesy of Andy
IMG_5095b.jpg
Courtesy of Andy. . love that we are reflected in the mirrors in this pic. one of my favorites.
IMG_5095c.jpg
courtesy of Andy
IMG_5096.JPG
after dinner (which for some reason, I took no pictures of. . surely someone did?). . we were right by Impulse, so took some off ride pics
IMG_5097.JPG
IMG_5098.JPG
IMG_5099.JPG
then we headed to Paratrooper. Where I was encouraged by the operator to "take pictures, but be sure to hold onto the phone!"
IMG_5100.JPG
IMG_5101.JPG
this one is from Phil, if I'm not mistaken
IMG_5102.JPG
selfie while riding, from a text I sent home to my spouse.

whee!
IMG_5103.JPG
this thing really hauls! so much fun
IMG_5104.JPG
then into Cosmotron! dark in there, so hard to get a good pic, but here's one before we started. . we got to ride to Metallica.
IMG_5112.JPG
and yes, I did get on Stratosfear.

not sure if I'm reacting to the ride, or that I see Chris' finger in the camera lens. . LOL
IMG_5113.JPG
starting to get dark, and the park is lighting up! We were headed back over to ride Whip and grab a night ride on the train.
IMG_5115.JPG
I'm here.. it's not too crowded where we were standing, but the park was fairly busy.
IMG_5122.JPG
IMG_5123.JPG
so pretty at night
IMG_5126.JPG
IMG_5127.JPG
in particular, love the lighting package on the Ferris Wheel.
IMG_5129.JPG
even tho the Wave Swinger wasn't operating, they still turned on all the lights at night.

Beautiful.
IMG_5130.JPG
Didn't get a chance to play the Mini-Golf, but did stop to get a picture of it.

one would think with a full + day at Knoebels, I would have had time to stop and play, but nope. This calls for a multi-day re-visit at some point in the future.

Getting ready for GlowPhest at the Phoenix Food Court. . TPR putting together our glow.

IMG_5134.JPG
and here we are, on Phoenix and Glowphest is starting! wOOp!

Yes, that IS one of the Knoebels Brothers on the right, with glow sword. . they participated!

so maybe by Chase, or even Elissa?

Wonderful long exposure pic by Jack Crouse
IMG_5508.JPG
and another. . also courtesy of Jack Crouse

Glad to see you still have those Candy Corn Neck Lights, Bert! They go great with everything else I can see
on everybody, there. GlowPhest rocks. We need more of those, around the world's parks. Robb's photos of
you all in the station are great! And the Jack Crouse photos of the GlowBlur on Phoenix are awesome!

Agreed. It was a different view of glow each ride! The tunnel all lit up was so much fun.

Awesome report! Glowphest was an incredible experience 2 years ago and it never gets old seeing photos of it.

It doesn't look like you copied my report too much.

Glowphest really is something I'll be talking about for many years to come.

riding in the dark, with the flashing lights thruout the train. . it just is an incredible thing. in particular on the final 4 bunny hops for Phoenix (that last one with forceful push/pull of air. . . so, so incredible).

a memory that will last!

they lasted the whole night, but died in the suitcase on the way home (guess they got turned on in transit).
will have to put a new battery in next time I need them for a Glowphest : )

YEP! With lots of pictures of each too.

Tho I would add “skyway”, “Flyers” and “Skooters” (even if I didn’t ride the Skooters), should also be included in any Knoebels TR . . . LOL

Not quite (sad face). . didn’t get to do the mini-golf, and missed out on Skloosh, and the flume (no one wanted to get wet). . . also missed out on the motorboats. The water looked like a nasty brown (likely from the flooding), so seemed a good idea to steer away from it.

So plenty of reasons to go back!

LOL.. . .it’s so funny that so many Knoebels reports showed up so close to each other! (and PKI Jizzman will get to that point soon too in his TR).
but one can never have too much Knoebels reports. .it’s such a fantastic place.

I have been asked multiple times at this point when I show folks my Glowphest pics, about the green watering can. LOL

Yeah...no, that's just what it looks like. In well over a decade of going every year...well, you always have the pool if you want clean water.
