The Angry Darren Mullins
December 17, 2017: Guanyinshan National Forest Park/Huangjiang Peoples Park/Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park 2017 is almost over and I decided to make one last park outing before the calendar changed to 2018. I visited three parks in Dongguan. Two of these parks are parks that I had never been to before. Guanyinshan National Forest Park-This was my first park today. It is located on a mountain. There are seven rides here. There is a jungle mouse that is just like the one at Kuishan Park in Shanwei, also located in Guangdong. This particular design features a helix. The car does not track well through the helix section. It is very bumpy. This became coaster #1109 for me to ride. Huangjiang Peoples Park-I visited this park in 2011. Most of the rides have been swapped out and the wave shuttle has been removed. The jungle mouse is still here. I rode it and then left. This park was on the way to the next park I would visit, so i popped in to see what had changed in the past 6.5 years. Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park-This park is a nice area in the middle of nowhere in Dongguan. It is not that close to any big towns and seems a bit away from civilization. This is the nicest park I visited today. There is an area of rides with a very common jungle mouse. It became coaster #1110 for me to ride. I had fun today, but I will say that only Guanyinshan seemed to have decent access. It a couple miles from a train station in the town center of Zhangmutou in Dongguan. Huangjiang and Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park have poor transport links. It was very hard to find bus stops as some bus stops are not marked. This is also my last TR for 2017. All three of the coasters I rode today are among the 402 coasters I have discovered before ACE or RCDB. I have also ridden 1110 coasters and visited 564 different parks. I will start off today at Guanyinshan National Forest Park. There are rides here. There are in nearly every Chinese park. A mouse is here. It is a bit different from most of the others I have ridden. It has a helix. It still rides the same as the other models-despite having a different layout. It is about one year old. A 20 minute cab ride took me to Huangjiang Peoples Park. Many of the rides have been replaced with new rides since my first visit in 2011. The coaster is still here. Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park would be my last park of the day. I wonder is this large lake is how the park got it's name. There is a small area with rides here. Yes!!!!! This will be my third coaster today. I like the paint job on this one. This coaster features the common jungle mouse layout I am familiar with. I will close this TR with a look at Dalang Lixiang Wetland's haunted house.
