The Angry Darren Mullins
January 18, 2017: Janfusun Fancyworld I am in Taiwan for a few days and I went to Janfusun Fancyworld today. This park is home to three coasters and to visit, you need to go up one side of a mountain and halfway down the other side. I got to the park at 2pm today. After entering the gate, the first ride to greet me was Diving Machine G5. This B&M diving coaster is a mirror imagine of Oblivion at Alton Towers. Although it is extremely short, the first drop is intense. I made it my first ride today at the park and I was also on the last ride of the day before the park closed a little bit later. Up next was Kuku Coaster. This powered coaster appears to be a custom design. It has been equiped with VR headsets that show a dinosaur themed filmed as people ride. It was my first VR experience. I found it to be interesting, but I also can see where is a way for parks to cheap out. The park is promoting this as a new ride despite the fact that the ride is at least 15 years old. It can be used on older coasters that are no longer popular to increase guest interest, so maybe that is good if it can help coasters have a longer lifespan. Insane Speed is a B&M Floorless coaster. I found it to rattle a bot too much. I also enjoyed some other rides before leaving at 4:30pm to catch the bus back to the train station. As I was waiting by the bus stop, i had an encounter with a beautiful Many-banded Krait. This is the most venomous snake on land. I was within a few feet of it and it paused as I stood very still (other than for taking a photo of it) and then started to crawl away. A minute or two later the bus arrived and my time at Janfusun Fancyworld came to an end. I have arrived at Janfusun Fancyworld. Let's see what is inside. G5 greeted me once I entered the park. Yes. It is a copy of Oblivion. It is short but intense. Wow! A triple decker carousel is here. This was my first experience with VR. I wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, but it was closed today. I will never go on one of these rides. I didn't have time to go in here, but I wanted to. Insane Speed is a B&M floorless coaster and shakes a lot. I love the sight of interlocking corkscrews. This little guy calls Janfusun Fancyworld's public bus stop home. It is a many-banded krait. This one is for the animal lovers. It will also finish off the TR. SharkTums
This park is also famous for its flying wildlife. I ended up with over 40 mosquito bites after visiting. This park is dead to me.
firewalk13
Thanks for sharing! I loved your photos. My favorite is the one of G5 soaring off into the sky/ferris wheel (beautiful)!
Gutterflower
In my opinion if you must have VR then this sort of ride is what it should be for. A less thrilling ride which allows you to actually pay attention to the Visuals. Would I rather not have it at all? probably. but if you must then this is what VR should be used for in my opinion.
