Great report! Seeing what they did with the County Fair area is pretty cool. I really like that Whip truck.

May 19, 2017 . . .

Found a great RT flight to San Antonio so I figured it was a good idea to take advantage of the texas parks! First stop . . .

Six Flags over Texas, where it all began! But first, this lookED promising.

Ok, let's get back. . .
IMG_20170519_1014182.jpg

Despite several school groups being at the park, I figured i'd make the best of it.
IMG_20170519_1017294.jpg

Just in case you didn't know what year it was.
IMG_20170519_1017459.jpg

So far i'm digging the park!
IMG_20170519_1019094.jpg

To my suprise, I totally forgot this park has a justice league dark ride.

IMG_20170519_1026250.jpg

For it being my very first one, I was really impressed with the entire experience.

Lot's of big towers here . . .

IMG_20170519_1036540.jpg

For some reason, Panda Express inside parks taste so good to me . . .
IMG_20170519_1039469.jpg

But forget that, I spy something much more pleasing . . .
IMG_20170519_1042515.jpg

The one that started it all!
IMG_20170519_1044159.jpg

And me!
IMG_20170519_1045227.jpg

Such a pity they were only running one train!
IMG_20170519_1115531.jpg

But overall I liked it.
IMG_20170519_1135562.jpg

See.
IMG_20170519_1140377.jpg

Lets move on to another texas legend.
IMG_20170519_1230154.jpg

I was surprised again to see another dark ride at the park!

I was really looking forward to shockwave!

IMG_20170519_1340179.jpg

IMG_20170519_1340219.jpg

And it didn't disappoint!
IMG_20170519_1340362.jpg

Heading into what may be one of the best Gotham City's I may get my chance to test out the new Joker!
IMG_20170519_1355396.jpg

With no line!
IMG_20170519_1356455.jpg

Which makes me happy.
IMG_20170519_1359221.jpg

Not sure if i'm still in Gotham or not but . .
IMG_20170519_1424481.jpg

And they "duel"!
IMG_20170519_1436070.jpg

For the longest I always wanted to ride a Mr' Freeze coaster. They were created during my development of my love for coasters and I finally got that chance!
IMG_20170519_1507120.jpg

Overall had a great day at the park, despite that droves of kids that had no care in the world. See you in the next update. But first . . .

IMG_20170519_1949568.jpg

After hearing so much about them, I had to check out WhatAburger. I was highly satisfied! I would say I need one back home but will take away the charm . . .

Nice report! I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates that old Yosemite Sam dark ride. I had no clue it even existed until my visit last year. It's such an odd ride to see at a Six Flags park.

^ I was definitely pleasantly surprised for it! Darks rides are, to me, a rarity at large chain parks so I was very pleased.

Headed back to San Antonio to experience Fiesta Texas! Let me say I LOVE water parks . . .
IMG_20170520_0953077.jpg

But to my dismay, the new water coaster wasn't ready!
IMG_20170520_0954519.jpg

Oh well, maybe next time. Well, i'm here.

Overall I really liked it. I think I liked it more than NTAG but that could be because I had multi rides on it vs the one on NTAG. DId I mention I loved the setting of this park?

Fiesta Texas is a great park, love how they use the quarry to their advantage. Funny how the parks Six Flags buys seem to have better theming than the ones they built themselves....

That shirt is hilarious.

both the original Six Flags parks have "boat" dark rides.

they are totally different experiences, but both still exist, which is awesome!

SFOG has Monster Mansion, and SFOT has Yosemite Sam (a retheme of "the Cave" which was the version with the spelunkers and I loved. . but the cave has been gone for over 25 years at this point).

and jarmor -- looks like you had a great time, even with the overcast skies.

what happened with La Vibora? you said it looked promising, then no update? did you like it? did you make use of the single rider line?

Nice report! I definitely prefer Iron Rattler for the two main drops and how it interacts with the quarry wall. That's really what makes the ride unique.

I too was a fan of Blank Check growing up.
