I wish Blue Bayou would invest in some shade structures or something. All of these water slides are fantastic, but it's not fun walking around a blistering hot water park without any shade.

Nice, it will be interesting to see if they keep investing in the rest of the park. When the slides open it will give them a nice bump in attendance but there will have to be more then the slides if they want people to come back.

@gisco, they've been investing in the park a lot over the past six years in both the water park and the amusement park.

Another update. They stated on their Facebook page that it will probably be finished in two weeks if mother nature cooperates.

Slides are almost finished, stairs are built, and all loops are up.

Lookin' good, if I do say so myself. That's sure to be a hit within the park.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I'd say. They look to be like they would be pretty good with lines too, as there are four slides. They are saying one and half to two weeks until they open.

Anyone know when this is supposed to open? I tried calling them in late June, and they couldn't tell me anything.

It's hot outside, and I have a headache

Holy crap that looks nuts! It's simply amazing that a waterside can go that much up hill.

My local water park, Golfland Sunsplash in Roseville, opened what they call an aqualoop this year but the loop is pretty much completely flat. In comparison this thing is something else entirely.

^You can thank Aquarena for building it, and WhiteWater for spreading it. The one you talk about might be ProSlide, though WhiteWater started their own line of flat-loop slides as well.

The ProSlide SuperLoops are flat. But there's enough force throughout the spiral to make it feel like an inversion. It is technically a loop, albeit a horizontal one.
