Thanks for the pics Robb. I see some lowlife already took the liberty of tagging it up.

^It was tagged pre-demolition. I was in Las Vegas two months ago and stayed at the Strat. On my way to the strip I noticed that it had already been tagged.

Such a sad site to see. Hopefully that end of the strip gets some love in the future.

Wow, I completely missed the relocation news until now. The modifications to the layout sound pretty exciting. This would've been (and might still be) a rather unfortunate missed credit, so I hope everything works out!

^Last I saw, it was still sitting in the lot across from the Mandalay Bay/Luxor.

Don't let this donkey melt you with its laser eyes!

Correct, still sitting there out in the elements, and the elements are taking its toll on the paint. Unfortunately the observation wheel across from Mandalay Bay seems to have slowed down / run out of money. Construction has seemed to have stopped on that project, which has me concerned about plans for Speed: The Ride. Hopefully something happens soon!

Having never been to Vegas, is sand an issue? I'm wondering if it is getting sand blasted, or just baked in the brutal sun.
