ShadowForce,

As long as your video is "postmarked" by April 1st, meaning it needs be in the mail by April 1st. It can arrive a few days later.

Also, I need to think about this, but would it help if I extended the deadline to April 15th?

If there's a broad support for extending the deadline, I'd be very happy with some more days to work with, but whatever I could make wouldn't be worth extending the deadline for. One question though, do you want the video on a Dvd or can a Cd do? And would you consider having a contest like this next year? That'll give me a whole year to learn using Pinnacle Studio! :)

I guess I can be one of the first unless someone in California already sent theirs!

I think extending the deadline would be good. April 15? Taxes and videos are due the same day! :)

BTW, who are the judges in the contest anyway?

Extending the deadline a bit would be great. Even 2 weeks is good to get more work done.

Considering my first footage i've ever taken is coming Solace weekend I'd really like the extra time to practice.

I made a video yesterday and I'm planning to send it as fast as possible! I won't be needing another deadline! But if the others would appreciate it...hey, why not :D!

(In my best Kreskin voice)

I predict .... that there will be many Solace entries in the TPR video contest.

Hello everyone. :D This is my first post here but I've been coming to this site for a while, mainly the videos. I saw this contest thingy and I figured I'd give it a shot. I shot some video at Magic Mountain last October so I'm gonna submit that in the contest and try my luck out.

Hello Robb, Elissa and all the TPR team for this second contest. :D

I have a video which may be borderline so I prefer asking the question before submiting it.
This video takes place in an indoor park called Planète Magique.
Planète Magique only opened a few months between 1989 and 1991.
The video has been taken last year, a few months before the complete destruction of the park.
It was a guided tour of a park closed since more than 10 years !
All rides were unique prototypes and there weren't really a coaster apart from La Navette which was a strange mix between a launched coaster and a space shot.

See these 2 pictures of the single track :

For more informations about Planète Magique :
PlaneteMagique.com (an excellent "false official" website)
PlaneteMagique.Daboo.com (the souvenir website of the closed park's guide)

There are less than 10 seconds of footage of La Navette (not working, you only see the track as on the pictures) in the video and I wonder if it fits the rules of the contest.

I've have also another question : I will submit my entries on a data CD or data DVD (I can't sent a DV tape as I can't get a camcorder with a DV OUT).
I've seen that you accept both PAL and NTSC files. Have you got a preference between these 2 formats ?
