Mr. Starr
Yeah, yesterday was amazing. It was easily the most fun I've ever had at my home park, so props to TPR for making this event amazing! I really want to thank the park and Robb for dealing with the storm so well, and for how much fun we had during the bridge party

mush619
Thanks again, Robb and Elissa, for putting together yesterday's event. I had a great time! Unfortunately I had to drive 3 hours home last night, and had to be at work at 7:00 this morning, but it was worth it! Looking forward to more TPR events in the future. AndCamSS
Look! It even made the paper! http://dailyherald.com/story/?id=400921 Any time people write comments I feel dumber for having read them. Most of them are talking about how Cedar Point is better and how they like "Magnum Force".

bean.zilla
I think last night was one of the most amazing nights I've ever spent inside a park! I totally agree! It was so strange and awesome to be on Raging Bull and almost the whole park around you is dark and you can hear the screaming on Viper and practically nothing else. Somehow it was exciting then peaceful then exciting again.
StealthFan
Theme Park Review visits Six Flags Great America on TPR's Middle America Trip! Remember you can follow the tour LIVE on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/robbalvey Theme Park Review's group doubles in size to conquer Six Flags Great America!!! (it's a big park - we needed reinforcements!) Everyone registered? Yes? Good. Let's ride!!! Good morning TPR! Who loves to wake up to roller coasters? That right! TPR was walked up to Superman to be first riders of the day! Assume the position! Fly TPR fly!!! I hope you guys like doggie style! ZEEEROOOO GEEEEEE!!! Might as well take a ride on Dark K-ni-ght (pronounced ka-ni-get) Why so serious???? Even with Flash Pass you still have 2 pre show rooms and a long line. Hooray for 42" height restriction! (with adult!) Wow! It's an improvement!!! TPR whorin' out the spinning mouse! Elissa hands out the Flash Passes (powered by Lo-q) "I highly recommend the Flash Pass...and I am from Australia." It's time for a little bit of history! Little Dipper originally operated at Kiddieland park in Chicago and when the park closed last year, Six Flags Great America bought it an rebuilt it! Little Dipper is KidTums approved! And yes, 36" kids can ride Little Dipper with an adult. Oh no! Little Dipper closes early! Oh wait that private party is for Theme Park Review!!! Noted! I love the toilet ads! Cool to see that more Six Flags parks got a Cyber Cafe. It's time to take a whizzer! But of course we are going to use the Flash Pass entrance. KidTums is going to take a Whizzer! "I'm taking a Whizzer right now!" Matt is now one of The Other Guys! "Does this work on sweat?" Batman: The Yellow. It's time to eat! "Our favorite part of the day." Oooh! I see breasts! Dan's new women make him wet! Park president Hank Salemi came out and gave us some SFGAm history and did a Q&A session. Next we took off for a backstage photo tour of Six Flags Great America! Coaster dorks LOVE backstage tours! You can get some awesome shots from these backstage locations. Why so serious? There is a lot of "strange" going on in this picture! "I'm getting blown by Dark Knight!" The building on the left is Dark Knight's queue, building on the right is the right building, and that black box in front is where they connect. Yay! Awww...poor rafts. They didn't do nuthin' to no one! Here we are checking out the parks boneyard. Hey everyone! TPR is backstage at Six Flags Great America! "Interstate 666!" I wonder what this Ferris Wheel was used for. Here's a chef with an alligator??? Hmm...I wonder what could be inside those containers? Six Flags Great America's landscaping dept is huge! Here is where the trains are stores and you'll some defunct rides. This as you may know it, is a train. Train parts! It's a Scenic Railway! Anyone know what ride that used to be? A view of the railroad tracks you normally never see. Yay! Iron Wolf! Best stand up coaster at Great America! Only cool people have hair like this. Great photo ops back in this area! This was VERY cool getting to go back here! Oh no! Not banned for life!!! As a bonus, we also got awesome pics of Raging Bull!!! Awesome photo spots that you can't get anywhere else. And Giant Drop photos too! Awesome! The exit from the station. It was really awesome to be allowed to see all these off limit areas and get some great photos from angles not available from within the park. Robb! Stop fondling those rubbers!!! Oh Matt!!! Ohh!!! Wait...you're not photographing this are you? The backstage tour was AWESOME!!!! Touch my Q-Bot! Touch it!!! Yay! Prizes for dorks! Daron, Matt, Lou and Nathan know what time it is : It's Whizzer Time! Joey!!! No!!! Don't do it! TPR took over Hurricane Harbor in the afternoon. You can bet your monkey we added 63% more man boob to the water park! Wow! Are they allowed to advertise that in the park??? Hurricane Harbor really is a very underrated park! Great slides here and the park is very well themed. Shark!!! Giant awesome water play area. This has to be one of the biggest racing slides ever! Crap. Here is the current weather map. We are right in the middle of the red section. This is not looking good for night ERT. When it rains, John gets the munchies! Here is what Little Dipper looks like in the pouring rain...lighting all around us. *sigh* Bad news...Little Dipper ERT cancelled due to rain... Good news? BRIDGE PARTY!!! OMG! ***Rare*** TPR event going on here! DAN IS SOAKING WET!!!! Everyone EMAIL DAN now! mrt0ad13@aol.com Tell him "You're all wet!" Proof that 90% of TPR is mosty retarded! Yup...there is the other 10% It rained and stormed **hard** for nearly an hour while TPR had our bridge party. And then something happened...it all cleared...and Viper opened! Welcome to one of the most EPIC nights of ERT in TPR history!!! Wet Viper = horny riders!!! "I LOVE YOU CAMERON!!!" Wet Viper = LOADS of airtime!!! And now for WET RAGING BULL!! "Wet Raging Bull is better than two midgets!" Kyle forced us all to keep riding...really we just wanted to go home and knit a fancy sweater, but he wouldn't let us leave! So we just kept riding... Why does everyone's eyes look like the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark where everyone gets struck my lightning an melts? The queue looked like this! Just enough riders to fill two trains and ride over and over and over and over... Do you guys want to keep riding? The final train of the most epic ERT session ever!!! THANK YOU TO SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA!!! Thank you for the Q&A session, the AWESOME backstage tour, and especially waiting it out through the rain when it would have been just as easy to cancel ERT. TPR absolutely appreciated that! THANK YOU!!!
deathbydinn
Look at all the empty rows...thats a lot of dead gay babies! Seriously though, I had an amazing day and even when the weather turned for the worst you still found a way to make it insanely fun! Thank you so much for all the work put into making the day a success, I had an absolute great time and I can't wait for my next TPR event!
GriffyTiffy
I had a great time yesterday with everyone! It was fun hanging out with my friends and meeting new ones! At one point I was even greeted by having water dumped on my by Hanno (take that Nathan!) and a yummy gift of Starburst from Robb! Thanks SO MUCH for putting on this event, Griffin Edited August 15, 2010 by Wes
Pure Impurity
This has to be one of the biggest racing slides ever! Here's an 8-lane version at Dreamworld's water park. Just in case you were interested.

Erik Johnson
The Wisconsin Dells With Bryan. Remember you can follow the tour LIVE on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/robbalvey Theme Park Review is at Mt. Olympus Theme Park! And why is everyone pointing at Bryan? Today is ALL ABOUT BRYAN day!!! The goal today is to take as many pictures of Byran as possible! The winner gets a free Club TPR 1 year renewal! "I have Bryan in my crotch!!! Ooooohhh yeaaaahhhhh!!!" Bryan is sad that Hades is not open yet. Good thing it's only "today!" Hey look! It's all about Bryan's ass! "Good thing the train is nice and clean!" Bryan is going to hell!!! Hey look! It's a picture of me in hell! Hades was bad...really bad. This is Hades. It's really gone to hell. "Leave me alone... I'm pooping." At Mt. Olympus you can only ride the kiddie coaster if you are between 40 and 50 inches. This means it pretty much never runs! OMG! Fosters! You'll find me here the rest of the day. TPDave: "I want to be big." Bryan: "Stop makin' fun of me!!!" "It's all about spinning!" "I lost my socks...good thing there is a socks vending machine here!" We found quite a few closed rides at Mt. Olympus. "No deal!!" "Stop lookin' at me! Look at them." "Look ma! I'm a Cyclops!!!" "It's all about airtime!" KidTums spins on her own! "It's all about Bryan's meat!" "Hi, my name is Bryan. May I help you plan your day at Mt. Olympus?" "Why can't they just put it in the trash can??? It's RIGHT THERE!!!" Can someone PLEASE buy Bryan his name on a grain of rice? Here we are Mt. Olympus. Hades ran insanely brutal - almost unrideable. Zeus was just awful. And thankfully Cyclops still ran amazingly kick ass! Colin says that "Fosters is the favourite beer of Australia!" It's all about veggie burgers! SCAD Tower anyone? Looks like the net is still down. We made a stop at Timber Falls to ride the Avalanche. This is the exact spot where "It's all about Bryan day" officially started! Where is Terrance? We need him! It's all about the avalanche. This is going to be an amazing ride. Bryan says "It's all about me." Avalanche was still awesome. A bit rougher than our last visit, but seems to have held up a lot better than Hades. Random Avalanche photo. Hooray for Avalanche! Next stop. TPR did a bit of credit whoring at Knuckleheads! Yes. We are all sad and pathetic. NERD SHOT!!! Oh my! What could be going on here? Orange KidTums gets a credit! Yeah. We fail at this. It's all about Starburst! And the WINNING PHOTO of the "It's all about Bryan" photo contest is this amazing composition by Divv3k titled "It's all about ass!" Congrats Divv! Airtime&Gravity
Friday was a great day, and I just want to thank Robb, Elissa, and Six Flags for putting on such a great event. It's unfortunate the weather didn't work out with the heat, humidity, and rain, but the storm also helped make the event so much fun. It was nice seeing the Chicago Crew as well as all the other members who showed up, and hopefully the event was enough of a success for it to happen again. Thanks day was probably the most fun I've had at Great America(or probably any park), and thanks again for such a great day. ArizonaGuy
Geez the SFGAm event looks like it was awesome, minus the rain of course. The park looks really nice and it's nice to see Six Flags work hard to please the TPR group. Definitely great hosts. P.S. Nice A$$ shot Robb....at least I think that's Robb. Geez...if that happends often on TPR trips I should be more inclined to sign up. LOL j/j
Rocket Rodder
I know there's a YT thread, if you want me to post this there I will, but this is a video I found showcasing just HOW bad Hades got, and this was only a month ago! Posted by some random tourists. You can actually HEAR the guy getting beaten up throughout the ride, he gets beat up the most after the second big hill (Second time "through hell" )
