There's some history of the campground here: https://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2008/11/17/campground-next-door/ ... and some cool photos.

Ah, cool, thanks! I knew it had been sold a few years ago, but thanks for clearing that up.

^ That link went to a blog post from a decade ago (to provide some history); in 2014, the campground was acquired by Sun Communities.

Yeah, I got that. Just didn't realize that Philip had owned it seperately from HW and thought you guys had sold it to them.

So they've finally found a use for Pilgrim Plunge's old station/area:

What is the rain policy? Anybody been there when it's rainy? Should I wear ponchos? I've been to other parks and it shuts down completely in rain. Last year when I visited, it rained for 30 minutes and it was good to go.

Has there been any noticeable changes that could be for a 2019 addition? Or any rumors at that?

I didn't see anything out of the ordinary when I was there on Saturday but then again I wasn't really trying to look. It was packed even though it was overcast. I see why they say to avoid Saturdays in July.

If they wanna add amything, I think one of those boat rides that they used to have at Dollywood. I think it's a splash battle and it would be a great fit for the waterpark. For the dry park, I'd love to see another couple of classic rides, a gravitron or a whip.

I know it's now for a stunt show but what ride do you wanna see there?

The only rumors coming out of Holiday World are the ones they want you to hear lol. They're one of the few parks that are able to be tightly lipped about everything. This is the park that purchased the trademark for Thunderbird under their lawyers name so no one would find it before the announcement.
