Thanks for the pictures. It definitely seemed like Batman was using harder wheels. It sounded louder than it usually does.

^ I'm glad someone else thought Batman was running louder too. I was trying to remember if it had always been that loud or if I had just been oblivious. It makes sense they'd do what New Jersey did for their B&Ms.

^Good it wasn’t just me either LOL. When I was in the South End it just hit me that it doesn’t normally roar like that.

I'm a know-it-all about donkeys!

^ Also noticed this, glad it was the wheels. My thought was that it gained the B&M roar with age.

The park is going to get killed next week with temperatures struggling to get out of the teens basically all week if the forecast doesn't change (which it very well may). Anyone looking to get one last ride in on the coasters should probably go Tuesday.

Has Great Adventure ever closed due to cold? I know when they're open everything seems to run.

Thankfully it looks like the only day of consistent snow is Christmas itself.

Yeah, they did last year (I think on a Friday night where they were probably projecting low crowds anyway). Great Adventure can probably weather the storm next week but it will be unseasonably cold and they'll have an interesting time trying to get some of the coasters started next week if temps don't tick up a little (though knowing them, they very well might pull it off). New England is screwed though.

Edit... aaaaaand SFNE is closed today too. Ouch.

I think the day I went to Great Adventue last year was a high somewhere in the 20s. I'd like to think New Englanders are just so used to the cold skiing that they won't care going even on a freezing day.

I hope the week improves. Would suck to see the park have a bad year and not bring it back. Hopefully HITP isn’t one and done based on this crap weather.
