^ Exactly. That pic and caption were hilarious! Great to see a TR from you both again. All these recent Jersey shore TRs make me wanna fly in, hop in the rental, crank up some Springsteen, and check the place out.

Hey great photo trip report! I'm glad you got to ride El Toro. One question, where is the love for Storm Runner?

We've been on it before and didn't want to wait in the line sine we were just stopping by on our way home.

No "no love" just "not this trip" ;)

I just got back from my first trip to Great Adventure. El Toro and Nitro were reason enough to go, but we almost didn't get Nitro in because it was broken most of the day. All of the rides kept breaking and then coming back up. This was hugely annoying in such a sprawling park layout, and it also reduced the effectiveness of having a gold flashpass.

Granted, some of our dismay may be explained by the fact that the four of us (Natatomic, eBen, televisedconfession) had been going TPR style for the 5 days prior and now we were subjected to a regular ol' day at a park.

Natatomic will be posting an amazing trip report soon and will probably give more details as to why I hate Six Flags more than ever.

That's a shame. How long was the line? I guess it's just because Storm Runner is my favorite coaster that I don't understand how you didn't ride it. :lmao:

^ It would probably help you understand if you saw how we attack a park. Odds are when we go to a park alone we will only hit about half of the stuff that we have ridden before. Unless, of course, we REALLY like it.

Unfortunately, we aren't crazy about Storm Runner. Different strokes for different folks.

Nice report! I am definitely going to have to hit up Skull Mountain when I go in September. I did not ride it when I was there two years ago, but have heard pretty good reviews of it - better than Dark Knights actually.

Loved the DK comparison to Hershey's Wild Mouse with dark glasses!!!!! Classic!!! :lolr:

On the Flashpass, I am wondering if the Gold is actually worth all of the extra money compared to the regular Flashpass?

Not in my opinion. The regular is supposed to make you wait as long as the line, but it was super rare for us to find anything over 20-30 minutes. And I sure that the Dark Knight line was at least 90!

The only reason I would ever recommend Gold is if you are with a large group of Enthusiasts and everyone wants to ride ... a lot. If you are just looking to ride everything and get a couple re-rides on the stuff you like, regular is sufficient.
