I tuned into the cam and it showed the brakes AND what look like most of the station track all in place and then the view changed really quick to a view of the splashdown. Guess it's off now?

I'm glad they're building it because it's the only one like it in Ohio as far as I know. This will make me definitely plan a visit to King's Island on next year's Cedar Point trip. Next week is my first B&M hyper(Nitro) and I'm so looking forward to it.

Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned before. Sorry if it has.
I'm not sure how long you guys are watching the web cam, but it changes positions about every minute.
It's cycling through like 3 or 4 positions.

Well, the splashdown is going to be...well, I'm just going to need to see how it's going to go up. It looks like it will be very short because the coaster is going to go OVER a major pathway. It needs some clearance! And then it needs to jump back up 40ft into the brake run. I really just need to see how this is going to unfold.

They're done for this week.

Next week they're bringing in the BIG crane for the lift hill. It's going to be taller than the Eiffel Tower, so at least 315 feet tall.

I meant the incoming crane is taller than the Eiffel Tower. :P

Looking great! I think the chances of me visiting KI in 2009 are about 60% because of this roller coaster, whereas before they were 20%.
This is my signature. Deal with it.

^^That makes sense, they'd need the crane to be significantly taller than the highest point it needs to lift to, so I can see it being taller than the eifel tower (at least the one at KI) Glad they're starting on the taller sections. It will be interesting to watch the skyline of the back of the park change while this is being built. Almost reminds me of Voyage the way the hills will pop up above the tree line...
