Great review, although IMO, the park is a bit of a letdown.

The park looks very much like 'ok put this here, wack that there' etc...

Not much thought put into theming, either.

Shame... I expected better from Hard Rock.

I wouldn't start to make conclusions just yet. It was the first day it opened. I'm sure the park will get better over time. I would give it a season or two before we start to diss the park.

I think the park looks great. It might look a bit bare right now but as time goes on I think the park will fill in. Also, most parks look worse when they're empty. Take the same photos on a packed summer day and I bet the reaction might be different.

Thanks for the trip report, Jarmor!

Don't think I'll judge the place until I see a full scale opening with everything working, and a real crowd. I wasn't expecting much from this park to begin with, (and not in a bad way, was expecting what it is, a small attraction...) and was really only interested in RPM. (Which I knew wouldn't be on-time, prototypes never are.)
I'll have a Skyy-sour with a lime and cherry, shaken, please... :)

Thanks for the trip report!

I'm heading down this summer for my cousin's wedding and my family is only 30 minutes south of the park (I remember when the location was a bunch of outlets). If I have time I would love to stop by the park.

What would donkeys be like on the moon?

I am sure the park will look 100% better once the trees grow in.

Nice pics. Park seems pretty good, but still leaves much to be desired. Which is expected for an opening day. Give it some more time and a little TLC, should be great.

Oh and Awesome TR :b
