At the marina you could rent peddle boats and go out for ride.

Well she did not really take interior pictures. She could have taken a picture of the front of the building (she didn't) , but I doubt she would have been interested. Unless it was really interesting to her or one of the family she would have saved the film for something like a parade or for a pic of the family.

A donkey is a domesticated member of the Equidae or horse family.

Bongo and Lulubelle were from the film Bongo, which was part of the film "Fun and Fancy Free" from 1947. In the pic they are the bears on the bicycles.

Everyone always says the castle is really small, but now I get what they are saying. That thing is like 20 or 30 feet high.
That picture put it into perspective.

Great pics! I made my first visit to D-land when I was 6 (1970). We just have the slides my dad took. Wonder if those can be transferred to jpg files?

Have the holes in the Matterhorn mountain where the skyway goes through been filled in?

^Some places may be able to transfer slides to jpeg. Call a reputable camera shop in your area and ask if they can digitize slides. You can also scan them yourself, but only if you have a scanner with a backlight for scanning tranparencies.

Also, those holes in the Matterhorn have been filled in. An excellent site to visit is Yesterland, devoted to past Disneyland attractions.
