Rock N' Roller Coaster. I love RNR. =) It's a Vekoma that's never really banged me around, great music, and generally a fun ride.

New Space Mountain (DL) and Mummy Florida are in the top two for me flollowed closely by Scooby-Doo (WB Movie World Australia) and Mummy Hollywood. FoF is a fun ride as is Exterminator and somwhere down the list is Disatser Transport (hey, I like the ride plus it's my first and only bobsled coaster) and I think I can count Eureka Mountain Mine Ride at Dreamworld (think wild mouse without all the 180°s in the dark)

Can I count Superman Escape? It has a dark ride part too it. :airtime:

This B&M donkey is so smooth!

I was beat to that joke. Darn.

My best dark coaster experience is 11:00 PM on MF, but we'll say that doesn't count. For me, it's definitely Rock 'n' Roller Coaster @ MGM. This was the ride that first got me into coaster enthusiasm and was my favorite for a short while (until I went to CP, in other words).

I survived the season working at Darien Lake on an SLC and all I got was this lousy signature.

I think Intamin should make a donkey!

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at DLR Paris. If you compare this ride to Xpress at Walibi World you can see what theming can do to a ride, because they have the same track layout. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is awesome. I like the music, the light effects, the q-line, the loading station and Tyler screaming 3, 2, 1, GO!!. I didn't care that the ride was kinda rough, because it's in harmony with the rock theming. Xpress is just the roller coaster version of a plate of spaghetti, standing there, twisting and turning, without any theming.

I quess the the rnrc's in the US have the same track layout as Rock 'n' roller coaster at DLR paris.

Favorite enclosed/dark-ride roller coaster?

Postby Bryce » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:13 pm

I had trouble deciding between Space Mountain, RNRC and Revenge of the Mummy (USF). Space Mountain was my first roller coaster and I still really love it (in the top 10), RNRC is just amazing, though short, and I love the music but overall, RotM gets my vote. The theming is truly amazing and I love the effects and the upwards launch. It's just a great experience and may be my favorite coaster of all time. On my last trip I managed to ride it atleast 6 times between park-hopping between both parks all day.
