I visited Magic Mountain on Monday. I actually just got back home to arizona a few hours ago. I'll have a detailed TR later, but a few points I noticed:

For a Monday, the park was pretty crowded
Scream still has odd vibrations in any seat that isn't in the front.
Viper is a LOT better without the trims.
X...OMG after the first drop, before the turn, and before the last twist (basically half of the coaster) the shaking was INSANE. I felt like I was riding a mechanical bull placed under the "extreme shaking" level. ouch. it hurt! I was suprised people used to file complains on Goliath...which I thoguh was one of the smoothest rides that day.

Open Gates

Postby Thrill » Fri Jul 27, 2007 10:01 pm

Starting at the beginning of this year, I started taking pictures of open gates at the park and added them to my Photo TR's...
I collected all of them, and put them into one gallery...

In some cases, if someone waled through the gates, they could walk right into very dangerous places... They are locked for a reason...

I find this to be a problem at the park, what do you all think?

^Not suprising...

It is a safety issue, and guests don't need to see in the backstage areas.

With restricted areas left wide open like that, it's only a matter of time before another PGA Top Gun incident occurs. Better get your act together SF.

I'm a know-it-all about donkeys!

Has anyone noticed that X doesn't have much on a line anymore?

Maybe it just died or something right before, but at 4pm we were on and off in less then a 1/2 hr.

This 16 year old puts you to shame

^ Part of the reason the line for X is so short is the crew is super fast now. We are all used to lines for X taking like an hour and a half, but it's weird that we are now finding ourselves only waiting for like thirty minutes.

Yeah, the line's moving much faster these days...

I got on at around 3 pm last March in about 10-15 minutes!

X's crew has really picked up the ball as far as capacity is concerned. Kudos to them for really kicking it up a notch on a coaster infamous for being a pain to operate!

If you think about it Six Flags has really cleaned up their act over the past year or so. I'm starting to enjoy Six Flags parks more than Cedar Fair parks.
