I remember stopping at and laughing at that Bedrock place in '93 or so. I'm amazed it hasn't falled down and turned into dust.

The Grand Canyon rules. Everyone should check it out once. How far down did you hike? We went down a little bit, but it was just a short hike. You need to be in really good shape to do a walk all the way down and back.

I have no idea where you're going at this point. I need more clues...

Pictures just don't do the Grand Canyon justice. The narrow camera frame can't show the overwhelming visual enveloping.
Here's a panoramic shot I found on the web:

I think they are in Page, AZ. Been there before and I swear they had a Sonic there, I think. Or maybe it was an A&W.

I say Page, AZ for now.

I went to the grand canyon a few years back with my church. We camped down inside for a week. It was really fun. I liked all the waterfalls they have down there.

I have been to both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon, and I've been down part of the Bright Angel Trail, so this all looks really familiar to me.

They really shouldn't tell people not to feed the squirrels, since some of the animals are probably so used to being fed human food by now that they would not know how to survive by getting their own food.

As for the Sonic, that could be anywhere, so I'm not even going to guess.

I wish they would make Street Fighter Donkey.

I didn't know Page, Ariz. had a Sonic, but I haven't been there in about five years.

Methinks Flagstaff, Ariz., but where would you be going from the worst city in Arizona?
I am out of ideas for what to write in this signature box.

I'm pretty sure Nogales wins that argument. Their slogan is: Nogales: Our City actually does smell like A$$ and Taco Bell fire sauce.

Nevermind about my Page, AZ guess. I checked Sonic's official site, no locations in Page. Guess that drive-in place in Page was an A&W after all.

BUT, theres a good chance they were in Flagstaff. Looks like there are quite a few Sonic's around there.

So, now another guess, they are going to Petrified Forest National Park to look at 2000 year old hard wood  .
