I can dig the coaster being named Goliath being that the name is cool and its not like there is 13 of them or the exact same rides.

I hope the angle of the drop is more than 60 degrees. It's rather pointless to have a 200ft coaster and the drop isn't all that "great".

I guess i'll have to make a trip to SFOG next season.

In my opinion, all this needs to avoid being an average coaster, is something unique. Storm Runner would have been average if not for the "flying snake dive," but because of it, it is one of the better coasters in the USA. I trust that B&M will know how to surprise us, and besides, there over-due for a really good coaster.

The drop will be steeper than 60º...

Look at the other B&M hypers -

RB - 65º
Apollo - couldn't find a stat but def like 63º at least
NITRO - 66º
Silver Star - 68º

Rest assured, Goliath will be no different! :)

I like Goliath @ SFMM. But then again, that's basically the only hypercoaster I've been on. They should make it an over 70 degree drop. That would be just plain awesome!

As long as it has a straight drop, there should be plenty of opportunity for airtime. Even Kraken, with only a 45 degree drop has airtime. And the first drop on Hydra, as short as it is, ends up being the best part of the ride if you ride in the backseat. Same with Georgia Scorcher. I don't know much about the ride at all, but am very excited to ride it next year.
All clear....

Dispatch, enjoy your ride.

I happened to like Goliath at sfmm a lot.
I thought it was much better than a certain Raging Bull.

Steepness doesnt seem to have much effect for me. It does help airtime (though not totally dependant) but reguardless, the only thing I think that would feel odd would be the Eurofighters and their 90+ drops. Once you get past like 75 its all the same. Its steep.

Just like TTD and KK. The extra 36 ft doesnt matter. Once you are over 400ft, its all just "really far up there" and you cant tell.

It does look like an interesting layout if thats the official one I saw. I hope the helix in it is as powerful as Nitros, mmmmm.

Well I haven't been on Raging Bull but from what I've heard, there are trim brakes on it that just kill the speed most of the time. Nitro has trims but they basically do nothing to the ride experience, just keep the speed in check.
