robbalvey
Here is my ranking in order from best to least favorite. I'm also going to give them a "grade" assuming that my favorite roller coasters, Expedition GeForce and Phoenix would get an A+ Millennium Force™ A- Raptor B+ Wicked Twister B Top Thrill Dragster B Blue Streak B- Disaster Transport B- Gemini C+ Corkscrew C Mantis C Magnum XL-200 C WildCat C Mean Streak C- Cedar Creek Mine Ride C- Woodstock Express C- Jr. Gemini C- Iron Dragon D Overall, the problem with Cedar Point, is that they have a lot of really "average coasters" with such a collection, you'd expect some really awesome rides, but IMO, they only have one "A" ride, and it's not even an A+ ride. Here's my SFMM comparison: Batman B+ Ninja B- Superman: The Escape B- Scream! B- Riddler's Revenge B- Goliath C Gold Rusher C Colossus C- Canyon Blaster C- Viper D X D Deja Vu D- Revolution F Psyclone F Flashback F Yet, take a park like Six Flags America which has far fewer coasters, but higher overall quality: Superman: Ride of Steel A Wild One A- Joker's Jinx B+ Roar B- Batwing B- Two Face C Mind Eraser D I'd much rather go to a park with fewer coasters where I'd want to ride ALL of them, then go to a park with 15 coasters and not care about more than half. --Robb "Such a shame that out of 32 coasters at CP and SFMM there really isn't anything that outstanding." Millenniumguy
Robb, MF is definately an A+ ride which is why my forum name is millenniumguy. Wicked Twister I would definately rate a low A. I agree with TTD. As for SFA it's best ride is Batwing which is a B-

MonkeyPants
The good: Millennium Force™ - pretty good, for the most part Blue Streak - always like this one Top Thrill Dragster - somewhat amusing So so: Raptor - not the best pacing, but fun-ish Magnum XL-200 - getting pretty tired of the abrupt bunny hills Gemini - the party bus! Lots o' laughs! Cedar Creek Mine Ride - nostalgia (my first coaster ever) Disaster Transport - great on a rainy day! Mean Streak - spinal injury, and what's with that brake on the 1st drop? Wicked Twister - Nice placement along the beach WildCat - packs a punch No likey: Mantis - pain, with no pleasure Corkscrew - same as Mantis, only more so. Iron Dragon - getting sleepy Never rode: Woodstock Express -probably fun for the kids, no? Jr. Gemini - How can a single track coaster be called 'Jr Gemini?" How about "Jr. Virgo?" nannerdw
Out of the 10 that I rode: 1. Magnum XL 200: A+ for great airtime and intensity 2. Millennium Force: A- for a great rush, but somewhat low intensity 3. Raptor: A- for the amazing vertical loop and smoothness 4. Blue Streak: B+ for great airtime 5. Gemini (Blue): B+ for short wait and overall fun-factor 6. Wicked Twister: B+ for the unique twisting backwards freefall 7. Wildcat: B- for being somewhat small and carnival-ish 8. Disaster Transport: C- for slow lift, short ride, and low intensity 9. Corkscrew: C- for headbanging, but it still has one of the best vertical loops ever 10. Iron Dragon: D- for having a slow lift and being bumpy and annoying

Homey G.
Avast, ye landlubbers... here ye be, ye scurvy dogs : Millennium Force- A (verrry front seat only, otherwise B+) Top Thrill Dragster- A (fabulous for what it is, though tough to rate) Wicked Twister - B+ (I love it, don't care if it's weaker than opening year) Raptor- B+ (a very good invert, s'pecially with the MCBR off) Disaster Transport- B (probably the closest to Alaska I'll ever get) Magnum XL-200- B (you know? it's odd, I like it, but don't adore it) Mantis - C (don't mind it) Cedar Creek Mine Ride - C (nothing insulting, but only rode it once) Blue Streak - C (Blue Streak is lost on me, I forget it's even there)) Iron Dragon- C (*shrugs* throw away the first half maybe it'd get B-) Wildcat- C - (carny rides at CP? IB maybe, but CP??) Gemini- D+ (man, I just don't get THOSE great rides some people get) Woodstock Express - C (standard kiddy fare) Mean Streak - D (CP should cut their losses and walk away) Corkscrew- D (45th arrow coaster in this park) Jr. Gemini- D- (coaster whoring got me a strained ACL on this bitch) Sorry about the pirate thing. Seemed like the right thing to do at the time. It's funny, I think we rate the coasters at Cedar Park a little more stringently because it IS Cedar Park and it IS SUPPOSED to be the roller coaster capital of the world. However, they have lots of coasters that aren't bad, but they have lots that just aren't good. If Milf Force were at my park, I would power ride it all day long, but at CP, I rate it against SRoS at SFNE and it pales. Fair? Not really, but that's not my problem. I'd say 5 out of 16 are really solid efforts.

OH MY GOD! I completely agree, I was wondering if I was weird. For a park with so many coasters none of which are really outstanding, even Millenium Force isn't that great. Coasterkid20
Mine are: Millenium Force B+ Raptor B+ Blue Streak B Wicked Twister C+ Gemini C+ Disaster Transport C Magnum XL-200 C Wildcat C Corkscrew C- Mantis C- Cedar Creek Mine Ride D+ Mean Streak D Iron Dragon D Top Thrill Dragster was closed when I went 2 years ago, and I'm not sure if I'll go back. Hey rob, look at a couple of parks with only 2 coasters: IE Holiday World Raven A+ Legend A It really sucks that that big a park, with that much hype just doesn't have that good of rides. robbalvey
^ Again, that seems to be the problem with both CP and SFMM. I would MUCH rather be at a park that chooses to have fewer coasters, but focus on them being great. It's that whole "quality over quantity" thing. --Robb "Who thinks CP has the better collection out of both super parks." Alvey
Chris Benvenuto
Well, Here's my ratings: Millennium Force: A (well, MF really does not impress me anymore, getting a little rough-ish IE: 3rd hill, after the first turn.) Raptor: A ( Raptor is one of the best and I mean Best B&M inverts ever produced) Magnum: A (this really deserves an A+, but it's Bunny hills? WTF? and ouch, my Thighs and balls!) Dragster: B (is this worth riding any more? i've never got on it, but i don't see the point of riding it.) Wicked Twister: B- ( Wow, I like it, never got time to ride, looks good though) Mean Streak: C ( I still believe if this got rehabbed, it would be better IMO ) Gemini: B+ ( normally this is a first coaster of the season, when i first come to CP for the new season. Still has alot of good airtime in parts) Mantis: C ( never ridden by me. But looks really fun and painful. hehe bad combo of words. I know.) Wildcat: C- (State fair coaster at CP? HUH? but still good fun. Rough.) Iron Dragon: C+ (urgh, I shudder to think that this is still fun, It is, but i disapprove.) Blue Streak: C+ (Good starter coast for new Thrill Seekers. I like it, Good Fun and Airtime.) Disaster Transport: D ( 99 cents for cheap 3D glasses? this is stupid and slow moving line killed my rating for it, if it had decent stuff in the Queue and Ride it would get a C- at most.) Corkscrew: D- (yay, first hill and loop, Yuck Corkscrews!) Cedar Creek Mine Ride: D+ ( OW, MY NUTS, OW MY SPLEEN AND VITAL ORGANS!) Woodstock Express D+ (actually not bad for kiddie coaster.) Jr Gemini: F (I don't care much)
shepp
The ones I rode: MF A+ in the front seat (nice drop!), otherwise solid A Dragster A Maybe 4 rides weren't enough to get bored, dunno Wicked Twister B+ I do like impulses, so... Raptor B Intense, but not nearly my favorite B&M invert Blue Streak B Pure fun, for what it is Mean Streak B- Not as bad as I'd heard Magnum XL-200 C+ My one ride didn't encourage a second, sorry...ow Mantis C+ Ouch...should have worn a cup AND a helmet Gemini C Not bad, not great Wildcat C What it is Iron Dragon C- Ditto Disaster Transport D Bad theming doesn't save a short, mediocre ride Corkscrew D historical interest only

Alvey I agree again, I think that is why I like the Branson parks so much, they are more focussed on the experience then the count of rides, CP just seems to be focussed on getting as many people into the park as they can fit, and then manage them efficiently (3 trains on corkscrew still blows me away, seems borderline pointless, but hey!) SFMM on the other hand.........
