  1. I would love to go as well but am curious if there is enough for adults to do. A few rides...most of the shows and extras appear to be Targeted to children. Would love to hear anyone's review if they attend!
  2. Worlds of Fun Winterfest has the ice skating as well. Nice! Where are they going to have it? From my best guess of the map, the Festhaus Pavilion
  3. Just to add and concur with Jaykethekid's great trip report - Fury of the Nile was definitely awful smelling - I noticed that too. I did have a few good rides on it though - one of the gysers occasionally was being shot by the waterfall area and we had at least one really wet ride. Monsoon was empty, no water there, which was disappointing. One thing I noticied on Mamba, towards the back of the (one) train, I heard a lot of rattling, almost like a chain or something? It was very noticeable on the return trip through the bunny hops. I don't remember ever hearing it before. I am glad WOF adopted the all-season drink pass where you can just get cups. (Sorry environment) I basically paid more just to not have to carry around the damn cup. Strange about the Prowler news - that would explain why its been down. Seems like a bad time to do maintenance, but maybe it was a surprise issue and not just a scheduled refurbishment. Mustang Runner is really fun btw - a solid flat ride addition. Falcon's Flight just didn't do much for me. Unfortunately both rides need more than one person staffing them...FF especially takes forever to load.
  4. Visited today, unfortunately Prowler was down all day. Timberwolf was down for part of the day. Everything was of course single train. Many ride operations for slow. Waited 5+ for a single train to leave Patriot. Falcons Flight was up and down but did get one ride. All the new stuff looks great. Hope the operations improve as the year progresses.
  5. How will next weekend's crowds be? I've never came to opening weekend before but the prices for BAF is great ($22)
  6. Overall, Timber Wolf is probably in better shape than when you last rode it. That said, it is only two seasons into a planned four year restoration project. The first drop to just before the upward helix has been rebuilt and is smooth. The helix was to be redone this off season, but the project was put on hold apparently, so nothing else has been done as of now. The helix is definitely in need of work and is currently the roughest part of the ride. Hopefully the restoration work will continue the next off season. I wonder if it was placed on hold due to the Ghostrider renovation. I know GCI is handling the retracking, so I'm curious if WoF is debating whether or not to get the full Ghostrider treatment--full retrack + Millennium Flyers. On that point, could MFs work on the parts already retracked, or if they would need to be retracked as well. Wof is probably considering all of that. On the other hand, I wonder if the retracking budget was instead placed into the two "new" attractions this year + revamped entrance. I don't know but I rode GhostRider this year and man, it runs great. You wouldn't even know it's age.
  7. Pretty sure it's the blimp that they showed in the middle of the new entrance area.
  8. That would be...Well the rest. Haha. Hope it is retracked, that helix was painful last year. I do feel the first half has gotten more mild though
  9. Here today, X2 got a late start operating. Looks like the same for Superman. What ride should I head to next? Is New Revolution a good idea or should I come back to it after Goliath. If Twisted Colossus has a single rider line, I should be able to put that one off. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  10. Saturday: Expect moderate crowds and expect most wait times to be around 20-30 mins on average. Sunday: Crowds will be pretty light and wait times should be around 10-20 mins. Try to hit X2 first as X2's wait tends to be the longest in the park. However, if you do not arrive at opening, skip X2 and head straight for Superman. The reason for this is because at park opening, everyone tends to try and head to X2 at the same time, thus if you're not in the park by 10:40, skip it and come back right before park closing as that's when X2's line starts to die down. After Superman try to hit either YOLOcoaster or TC. Other than that you should be good. Oh and just note that Tatsu, Apocolypse, and Riddlers Revenge will be closed. And if any rides are running one train ops expect wait times to be much higher than what I stated above. Great tips! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Awesome - that sounds great. My only reservation is the cost - man this park is not cheap!!! Doesn't seem like much is offered in the way of discounts
  12. How realistic is it to visit next Wednesday at open and have the park done by 4pm? Single rider, in case they have single rider lines. Not one to lolly-gag, but I will want to do at least the studio tour in addition to rides.
  13. Will be there the day after Ghostrider should open up, so am really hoping they meet their deadline. First visit, coming from a long ways away. Any tips for the area or park? Looking forward to visiting for the first time!
  14. Visiting SFMM for the first time the weekend of the 4th/5th. Being a Sat/Sunday in Feb - not really sure what to expect crowd wise. Any tips on which rides to prioritize (because of low capacity/notoriously bad ops) to make the most of my day? This is a Six Flags park, so I am guessing there isn't any food must-haves, but I'm all ears if there are! Would love any tips you have to share for a first-timer.
