Okay guys so I have been a follower and lover of theme park review for years! I have loved reading and checked the site religiously so I though hmm I should share my adventures with you all! My girlfriend of 5 years and the love of my life just married me about a year ago and we moved to orlando FL for our work. She shares the same passion for rollercoasters as I do. We decided we want to see every major theme park we can while we are live and document it all! She works as a professional media market specialist and I work as a major motion picture film editor, so we love media. Here is my thread of our start to seeing the rollercoasters of the world! I hope you guys enjoy and we are planning to make videos from most of our trips ! I think we go to disney universal or sea world at least once a week and our ideas for date night is dinner and a stay at the Hollywood Tower Hotel
We went to Six flags Over Georgia last weekend and it was my wife's first trip to six flags. It was a day trip from orlando and back that we just kind of planned when we woke up at 3am and decided lets drive to six flags, so sadly I was only armed with my iPhone for this trip:(
Okay enough of me talking and on to the pictures !
We arrived a little early. It was 9:30 when we got to the front. Nothing was testing but I was itching for a ride on Goliath. Last time I went was about two years prior and I loved the ride.
Like I said, we were kind of early lol
Personally I love large hypers like Goliath. Growing up living on the causeway of cedar point spoiled me for good rides. But I always wished cedar point has a B&M hyper, I freakin love these things!!
We got our season passes through SFOG ! Next up over spring break for us is Texas! Heres my wife line dup before opening of the park
So Six flags opened the gates 30 minutes early at 9:55am ! We got our flash pass and a few rides were already open!
First up for the day! I skipped this last time I was there. No line at all for the front
Things would get a little busier as the day goes on. We got two rides in before most people even were in the park!
I actually liked this ride! The front was actually pretty fun for us! This was Morgans first cyclone layout and she liked it a lot. I hope for an RMC lol
I also skipped this one last time. So we got in line !
This is Morgans, We just waited for 15 minutes and they didn't open the ride due to technical problems face
Before there were a lot of people we went over to Dare Devil Dive!
I loved this last time I was here. I was happy to get a few rides on throughout the day.
The iPhone 7 Does take some nice photos. Paint seemed to have faded a lot in two years
Pretty empty station
Front row! Morgan liked it but thought it was a little short. I personally enjoy this ride a lot. The hang time with the lap bars on the last roll is just awesome
Soon Goliath, Soon.
Batman Time!
I love these Clones! We got backseat and it is such an intense ride from start to finish. Do note, Flashpass doesn't let you sit anywhere on this, only in the back two rows.
Looking up Gotham area. Mindbender was still testing. GS was still not open, not a lot was open and it was around 11Am now.
This area was looking different from my last visit. I loved it! The colors looked so nice and popped really well. The rides were a good mix for families to enjoy.
headed down to see some other new things from last time I was here!
Some New hotness for me ! Morgan's only been on the wind seeker clones and so have I so a starflyer was new!
Ninja Sucked last time I was here. I hope Blue Hawk is better, Sure looks better!
Ride #1 , We both loved the ride. Just having the chains made it much more thrilling and the spinning felt a lot faster. Fun flat ride!
Our Flash Pass was ready for Blue Hawk
We will get to you later!
We got third row, new trains look awesome !
Another look at the trains on Blue Hawk
Okay so I may be crazy... but I actually enjoyed Blue Hawk. The ride felt really fast and forceful through the inversions. The new trains helped with no more head banging. The new color and trains do not make this a stand out world class coaster, but it does make an old ride more enjoyable to ride.
She wanted to do sky screamer again:)
The chains are a bit freaky lol
And next up !
Perks of the flashpass!
The Cyclone was better Imo but still a fun classic. We got the front and it gives a pretty nice view of the waterpark onsite
Progress on Justice League Battle for Metropolis. can't wait to come back in may and ride!
No signs of Superman opening and it was around 1pm now. Hoping for it to open up later so we can get the credit
No water yet. Also trees looked like it was still winter
The Joker Funhouse coaster looked awesome! I got the credit last time I was here so we skipped it for this trip
Just started testing around 1:30pm , paint and trains looked really nice with the other rides in that area.
Again, Soon.
We got a notification this was open! One train only and a 90minute wait... Thank god for flash pass
Brake run
Waiting for the front ! so some little girl hit her face as the train stopped. She got off all bloody and the dad screaming at the ride ops. Took them 30 minutes to figure out how to clean up.. We waited it out
We got stuck on the lift and had to take a silly picture
Lifthill Shot!
Honestly This is one of my favorite rides at this park. I love the feeling the loops give. The fact you on have a lapser makes it comfortable too. The ride is actually really smooth too. This was my favorite when I came last time so I was happy it was running just as good as it was then. We did it 3 times !
The way it hugs to the terrain is cool too. I love the little waterfall flowing into the valley the ride goes into
Still never did the so called "Rollercoaster" , I don't consider these rollercoasters but more of fair rides. This is my second, the first was the one At SFGA. I like it but to me its meh. Morgan got sick from it a little bit so we only did it once. Good addition to their flat ride selection though
Shot of the log flume by the bathrooms next to Dare Devil Dive.
This did have water and was running! We did it, it was ok. Nothing crazy
It opened ! It's 2:45 now.. But hey at least it opened !
Mixed emotions from whats going to happen
Okay so we did it, front row. It wasn't horrible. Yes it hurts down there if your a guy but it brought back memories of mantis. It was fun but I was good on a reride. The paint looked like it needed redone bad
Morgan liked it! I like Green Lantern if I had to pick a favorite stand up. I wish they did the Rougarau treatment on this. Layout is fun
Another round on Dare Devil Dive. This time the back, I loveeeeeee the hang time on that ride
Superman said it was open so we rushed there ! I really love the purple and green colors on the funhouse coaster. Oh well next time we come ill get a ride on it.
Oh yeah we did Goliath twice once in the front and once in the back after DDD, Morgan loved it, and it's her favorite hyper from B&M. She has only done Manta but still. Anyways, hers the waterless plunge ride.
Looking down at that sexy pretzel, my favorite inversion on any ride.
Looking down the tracks at the new attraction building
Yesssss! It is open. We got A flashpass because the regular line was already 45 minutes.
The layout looked shorter than I imagined , but look at that sexy piece of steel
Ok I do love how close the ride comes to the ground. It does really feel like you are "Superman"
Colors looked fresh
We did the front, I really enjoyed the ride. It wasn't as fun as manta was to me, but it does a good job in thrilling in the short layout. I felt like the pretzel loop wasn't as intense as Manta, but the twisty section was really cool. It was a really free feeling like flying with superman would be. It was a really solid ride all in all.
As soon as we got off they opened both sides of the station . I feel like they could have made the ride a lot longer , but hey we both liked it.
The color on this ride really popped. More of the Sixflags parks need these in them.
The waterpark was closed. I went last time I was there and it was really fun to be included in the price of admission. Not many slides but they do have the other six flags waterpark down the road. We will be going there and to the in-house SFOG waterpark on our next visit
Time to do the first ever VR drop tower!
Georgia Cyclone just chilling off in the distant
This didn't seem to get a very long line. But to be fair the operations were extremely slow on this ride. Also they lift the ride up to put on your vr goggles, idk if it is just me but this is the most uncomfortable drop tower I have ever been on ...
Is this a stand up tower? It felt like a mix of both but was not comfortable. My wife's VR did not work for her so they let us stay on and ride twice. I took the VR off the second ride, and damn this thing stops very close to the ground
The drop tower itself was fun. I liked it better without VR but thats just me. The VR was like helicopters and spiders attacking , it doesn't even feel like a drop with the VR on, just like wind and a little stomach tickle. Wifey loved the VR and thought it was cool to do on a drop tower
Back to the best ride in the park ! For ride number 3
Another backseat ride
We did one more on DDD. Front again
Last two rides to get us to 5 rides on this beast today !
We did the mine train, which I didn't fit into and was just miserable lol, Monster mansion and did our final ride on the Cyclone before driving back to Orlando
Time for some Food before we hit the road
Burger than pizza, good combo
Thanks for a fun day Six flags !!
Walking out, we had a great time and Morgan loved her first Six Flags Park. The Flash pass let us ride so much in just a day , I highly recommend it if you don't visit often.
I loved this! I can't wait to ride Fury 325 here soon! I still like I305 at KD and Sky rush better but this is one of my top hypers for sure! The layout is my favorite part, how it snakes around a lot of the park
Batman off in the distance. Thanks for reading and I hope you Enjoyed reading, we are traveling all over this year so check back. Ill post our local park trips sometime next week and updates of Mine Blower at fun spot
