  1. If I ever adopt Facebook, this is exactly what I would do. You're doing it right, IMHO. Edit--my wife has Facebook, only recently (the last couple of years). I tried to tell her not to include people that just asked--now she can't scroll through the site to see what family members and close friends are doing for the garbage political stuff (agree with some, disagree with others) posted, and other stuff (somebody posts every "food recipe" video they see; another posts cute animal videos; another posts the humane society posts and pics of rescue animals, etc. It's a huge time-suck; she doesn't enjoy going through all of that, and it includes people that "asked" to be "friended" that she otherwise would have no relationship with, and not care. That's doing it wrong.
  2. Huh. Weird. That's the latest update I'm using as well. I have a site with VBulletin I run and use Tapatalk Pro on it, too. Even locked out of my own Polls with it. There's a workaround, of course, to use the phone to use the web browser, but it often defaults back to Tapatalk, depending on the browser. Frustrating. I am online in front of a computer and have voted (finally!).
  3. Yeah, it would be nice if it showed up like that on my Tapatalk Pro, but it doesn't. First pic below is how it shows up. Second pic is how you select Web view. Different from your image. No idea why. Third pic is after selecting Web view. Same as before, no Poll showing up. See why I said when I get in front of a computer?
  4. Can you vote for your answers in the poll above? Thanks. I will when I get in front of a computer. I'm on Tapatalk here, and it doesn't show the Poll.
  5. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I have no information on what occurred, or experience with the ride. But I just wanted to mention that I have appreciated the discussion of possible circumstances that could have caused this tragic accident. While nothing will bring this young boy back, I don't think it is unhealthy to discuss possible causes, realizing that the investigation may reveal something altogether different in any event. Some of the possible causes don't make sense to me, but I appreciate the effort nonetheless. Thanks to all contributing.
  6. We've been there since Vortex, but very intrigued with the spinning coaster and the Proslide Flying Saucer slide. Hope to find a way to fit Beech Bend in with Lake Winnie and Dollywood this summer.
  7. No, didn't think about Dollywood. That's doable too. Better rides, bigger, I assume? How are the lines in general? And thanks. That's a great suggestion.
  8. Live in Birmingham, and wondered if anyone could chime in in some of the secondary theme places. Looking for relaxed fun without a lot of waiting in line, but with "enough" for a fairly full day of fun. We go to Six Flags over Georgia occasionally, but this is a different niche for us. We have loved Beech Bend in the past for the ease of getting on the Kentucky Rumbler, the log flume, etc. very easily. If it were closer than 4+ hours it would probably make it an easy choice for us, but it isn't. Have never been to Lake Winnie, but heard some good things about it in terms of it being a fuller experience. What are the crowds and lines like? Haven't been to Splash Adventure since before when it was Visionland and thought it was very poor then. Anybody been recently that can compare? Any other regional type parks my family and I should visit in the Georgia-Tennessee (or other) areas? Thanks - have been reading the forum for weeks and really enjoy it.
