  1. Ah, right. I forgot if you don't have 2,000 posts and a loyal weirdo following on here, you can't post in a thread without getting attacked! Use your brain dude. Both parks popped up on the HITP webpage, and now it is included in their season pass descriptions, which it has never been before.
  2. SFGAm doesn't have HITP and our season pass page says the same thing: Right but Great Escape and Great America were the 2 parks that popped up on the HITP home page, and were then quickly removed; so it makes even more sense now that Great Escape and Great America are probably getting HITP now that it's listed on both their season passes. Edit: Ah, okay yeah poor wording by me in my original post. All the parks have it except La Ronde, Mexico, GE, and GAm, so La Ronde and Mexico were the parks I was referring to. But yeah, my point still stands that it makes sense now that GE and GAm will get it.
  3. https://www.sixflags.com/greatescape/store/season-passes More HITP clues: All the season passes got updated to say "Includes park admission to Holiday in the Park," and I double checked the parks without HITP to see if it was just a generic season pass spiel, but the non-HITP parks don't mention it, so I'm guessing HITP 2.0 is happening
  4. Took 2 back to back rides on Great NorEaster last night and man! The new track is great! Such an improvement over the old track and any other SLC at that. It's legitimately smooth besides one jerk after the inline twists. And the new magnetic brakes are very smooth and make for a comfortable finish. Very surprised but pleased with the results. Great White also gave me a great ride last night; easily the best I've gotten on it in years. Very smooth and fast.
  5. Cool, I had noticed the wood in that area looked a lot classier. If they replace the rest of the boardwalk to look just like that area, that'd be a huge visual improvement. A safety improvement too. Some of the board are loose or sticking up and a nice tripping hazard. I'll be down to the piers in a week, so I'll share my Great NorEaster thoughts after I ride. But then again, I also enjoyed it prior to the retracking so i might be a bit biased LOL
  6. Here's a link to an interview with Jack Morey where he mentions they are planning at least 1 new coaster and a major waterpark expanison in the next 3 years. And he makes mention of the pier to pier woodie which is he says is all designed and ready to go should they ever go for it. Forgive my memory, but didn't the city give them a lot of trouble when they tried to get it approved years ago? http://www.phillymag.com/business/2017/05/25/moreys-wildwood-jack-morey/
  7. ^I've noticed the past few years that the weekend of July 4th is crowded but for some reason the 4th is usually pretty dead.
  8. Sky Ride reopened today with some new signage showing how to correctly ride along with a new safety restraint that goes between the riders legs. Here's a link to the article http://poststar.com/news/local/the-great-escape-s-sky-ride-reopens/article_2a9da499-dd6c-5604-aad7-05b526773856.html
  9. Do you guys mean coat hanger track by the fact that the connection to the supports is in the middle of the new track like that? Sorry, I'm not up on the coaster track lingo Not to shy away from Great Nor'Easter's construction but when I rode The Great White this summer, I thought the trains rode pretty bad over the new tracked sections. You could tell the old from the new and we still had a great ride (much better than in years past), but man those trains seem to rattle and vibrate more and more as the years go on.
  10. Here's a Great Escape Fright Fest ode to former Great Escape Operations Manager and current Holiday World Director of Attractions Eric Rentz
  11. Yeah the original color scheme was pretty terrible. Too bad it pretty much still exists on T3 LOL. I like the different shades of blue- it will definitely pop more but I think the track color will really make or break the ride. Would be cool to maybe even see some different colored track pieces to match the colors of the different support sections- but there's probably not many that would agree with me though I hope Baynum is ready to do some intense touch ups after the track is removed and the new track is installed. No way that shiny paint will make it through track installation in such tight quarters.
  12. You're right, the shuffling is the biggest downside of the SLC trains. Although I am curious if Vekoma re-resigned the "new" trains since Morey's got them back in 2008.
  13. Awesome pics! Maybe I'll post some pics I took in August later. Anywho, anyone know what's up with the lights on the Wave Swinger? Looks like the top hasn't been lit up since early on in the season.
  14. We also tried Morey's new Starlux Mini Golf this summer and we thought it was awesome. The beach and ocean courses on the ground level had awesome themeing and props. All the water features were cool too. If was definitely one of the more challenging courses I've played on because the ball constantly rolled in the water but at the same time it was fun trying to keep it on the green. It was also enjoyable fishing the balls out with the nets LOL. We tried the Boardwalk course on the upper level too and it sort of sucked compared to the bottom level. It had cool props like a tram car and a model of the Great White, but it was pretty blah to us. It just seemed like it didn't have much thought put into it like the bottom did. But then again, there's only so much you can do on a raised platform like that, that isn't huge.
