  1. I saw that Disneyland will be halting sales of its Southern California annual passes. Should this improve crowds?
  2. Anyone hear about Paradise Pier reportedly being turned into Pixar Pier next year?
  3. I agree. I was not excited about this, as I will miss the old theming and wasn't loving the look. However, the look is growing on me, and all the details inside seem like they'll be amazing. Listening to those songs as you fall just seems hilarious. And that WAS the best explanation for a gift shop I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to this now.
  4. Yes! I liked Hyperspace but I'm looking forward to getting the classic music back
  5. I agree, as I rode the Florida version this summer and it was far superior. However, I still liked the ride and loved the theming. There's a good chance I'll like the new attraction too, so I'm trying to keep an open mind.
  6. I'm not much of a Marvel fan myself, but I do like Guardians of the Galaxy. However, I'll miss the old TOT, and I'm not super excited about a Marvel-themed land. I'll just stick to Disneyland mostly; that's what I usually do anyway.
  7. I know it's futile, but does anyone think there's ANY chance of Disneyland ever updating its castle like Hong Kong is doing? After going to Disney World, the castle just isn't the same. I know it'll probably never happen, but it'd be amazing if they made the Disneyland castle bigger and better to truly honor its legacy.
  8. Yeah, I hate all that scaffolding, just makes it look like it's still under construction. hahahahahaha True, but you can see the sides of the structure and kinda get an idea of where the design is going. It doesn't look anything like the concept art yet, but there's still a lot of time
  9. Yeah, I'm in the parks right now. I noticed the parking structure thing. I noticed that even though the front of guardians is covered up, you can easily see what they're doing on the sides. There's a crazy yellow antenna thing on top too.
  10. Where will the entrances to Star Wars Land be? Will you be able to get in from Fantasyland and Frontierland? That back area of Fantasyland will probably become much more crowded if it's the entrance to Star Wars Land.
  11. It'll be really interesting to see how Guardians turns out. I liked the ride, but the Florida version is much better. Hopefully it's not a cheap redo and they actually put time and effort into the ride.
  12. The first weekend in March isn't typically too bad for crowds. You are correct about Pirates being closed for refurb along with Matterhorn. From the restaurant, you can see the preload queue, the boat launch, and the swamp area. After that, the rest of the ride drops below your view. I'd say it's still worth going, and you still have a lot of rides to choose from. Are you visiting DCA as well? Yes, I will be visiting DCA as well. I'll probably be spending most of my time at Disneyland, however, especially with no Tower of Terror. I'm looking forward to seeing the Star Wars Land construction! The park (along with California) has been subjected to lots of rain, and in some instances, has closed early. Just set your expectations if this happens, but so far the forecast looks clear of rain around the time of your trip. Yes, it sure has been rainy lately, and I heard about the early closings. I'd honestly be fine with rain as long as the park is still open, as that tends to lessen crowds.

  14. Going to the park for a 3-day weekend the first weekend in March. We didn't think it'd be too crowded, but we've heard that Pirates and Matterhorn will be closed, which may make other lines longer. Two questions: One, how crowded do you think the park will be? And two, we have reservations at the Blue Bayou, but Pirates will be closed for refurbishments. Is it still worth going, and can you still see into the ride with it closed for refurbishments?
