  1. Well, I did it that way for a few reasons. I wanted to maintain the character of the original ride, so I turned the first helix into a "lateral buffet" like the Knoebels Twister, and kept the surprise dip at the end. For the second helix, I wanted to focus on strong, sustained positive g's, like the first helix on SNFE's Superman (though I admit an underbank would probably have been better than an overbank there). And then I made the finish completely bonkers to contrast with the sustained forces of the first half. But yeah, I'm perfectly fine with a chain lift, though it wouldn't be as "turbo". Thanks for the review!
  2. What would be really great is if they re-did it in Topper Track, and made it a more exciting version of itself. No inversions. Just a Lightning Rod-style double drop, steeper/extra hills, a first helix more like the one here: ...Hide an overbank in the huge fan curve under the first helix, and heck, add an LSM launch or at least a superfast lift. Call it "Turbo Typhoon".
  3. I never heard of one, either. I hoped that somebody here would know. But the Lightning wasn't mirrored. http://reverebeach.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/lightining-coaster.jpg But I should definitely get my hands on that book. Maybe next year.
  4. I found this on part of a "Coney Island" reel. Skip to 1:01. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] A lot of it is footage from Coney Island itself, but the other wooden coaster before this one probably isn't. The other footage isn't mirrored, so I wonder if there was a fourth Cyclone which actually was a mirror image of the other three.
  5. Superman: The Ride - get rid of the headrests and that god-awful audio. Audio on the lift hill would be okay, though. Boulder Dash - make the first drop steeper. That's all I ask. Wicked Cyclone - the ending is way too tame compared to the beginning of the ride. Perhaps they could switch to steel wheels and raise the turn just a little bit. Also, change the color scheme back to white and blue.
  6. What's the green RMC track? A smaller single-rail type?
  7. I want to go on something more thrilling than Steel Dragon 2000.
  8. By that logic, wouldn't being pushed into your seat at the top of a tight loop be negative g's? And going through a sideways helix be lateral g's? We're talking about forces exerted on the rider.
  9. I find it hilarious that the fake weather report, the two anchors names were "William Schilke" and "Alan Cobb". Well-played, Six Flags, well-played.
  10. I'm going to have to be careful where I sit if what many of the previous posters have been saying is true. *shudders*
  11. My avatar (and username) came from that Screamscape joke where people sporting RMC shirts and hoodies were spotted (read: Photoshopped into photos taken) at multiple parks across the world.
  12. I just started watching that video myself. I had to stop watching before I started pulling my hair out. "ermagherd melernermerm furse is teh greatest costurr on teh planet and rebble yells is so unique!!!1" I'm getting ready to post a long diatribe refuting their claims.
