  1. My wife and I have had passes for 3 or 4 years and we’re not planning on renewing for next year. It has been getting harder for us to get off work to go and we usually can only go during the peak times or weekends. The last time we went, we only stayed for maybe an hour and a half because it was just so crowded.
  2. Are they good for the $.99 refill prices on the mugs or the $3.99?
  3. If you buy a timesaver unlimited you will be golden no matter what crowds are there. On Lightning Rod with the timesaver the most you have to wait is three trains usually. They do a good job of not letting the station area get too crowded. The most possible wait with timesaver that I saw is on Wild Eagle due to where the lines divide but it's usually pretty fast ops and I didn't need to use my timesaver on it last time I was there. I would imagine as well that at that point in August the people there to see Dolly aren't really going to also be there to marathon on coasters.
  4. Just one train from what I saw. The crowds were pretty light overall. I am staying at Dreammore Resort so with the complimentary timesaver I didn't have to wait more than five minutes for any ride. On a related note has anyone that stayed at Dreammore tried the pizza and/or the dinner buffet they have? The wife and I are considering trying them the next couple days and wondering if they are worth the money.
  5. Got my first rides on Lightning Rod today. The second ride seemed noticeably faster than the first. But holy crap I'm not sure why they have seats on that thing because your butt is never in them.
  6. With the new pull tabs could two people use tabs from one band at the same time? If so that might be a good option on not so busy days if only FCE, LR and WE had lines that you would need to skip.
  7. Standard parking is $12 and preferred is $25. Dollywood.com/mcdonalds can get you $5 off per ticket.
  8. Dollywood.com/mcdonalds can get you $5 off per ticket. If you are going to be in town for a few days the 3 days/2 parks for $99 promotion from the Dollywood website is a pretty good deal. As always you can come in to the park after 3 pm and get in the next day for free.
  9. The wife and I went on the 5th of July last year and it was dead the whole day. We're going back this year hoping for a repeat.
  10. Dollywood.com/mcdonalds has $6 off tickets with black out dates of July 3rd and 4th. Probably one of the only discounts you will see without staying at Dreammore or get the 3 days 2 parks for $99 from the Dollywood website.
  11. If anyone is looking for just a one day ticket to Dollywood or Splash Country you can go to Dollywood.com/mcdonalds and save $6 per ticket. You can also buy a large drink from area Mcdonalds and take the cup to the gate for the discount as well. Once inside you can upgrade your ticket to a season pass as well if you want to go that route.
  12. I'd like to see a little better discount with the gold pass for the resort. At least the 20% that we normally get for park purchases. Gold pass holders don't save a whole lot with the "free stuff" you get from staying there.
