  1. Hello, thanks for the reply! Our Church was Visitation in the Noth Dade area just east of US 441. My friend at the time lived right across the street so his parents knew how much we loved this "ride" and carnival they let me sleep over all week so we could watch them set it up. I think this is a new mission for me and try to track this thing down! These were some of the best times of my life growing up and I would not think twice about bringing it back. Its carnival season down here now so I will start with that and some other resources I have. If the owner were true to his word when he told me it was the only one of its kind, it will be tough lol but we can do it. KICK BOODIE LIVES ON!!!
  2. Hello, I just found this site today and joined because I googled "kick boodie ride" and this site came up, anyway. I am from south Florida and growing up, my best friend and I at the time got to ride the Kick Boodie hundreds of times over the years at our annual church carnival in the late 80's to mid 90's. We were what the ride operator/ owner would call SUPER KICKERS because we rode the ride so much we had all the levels mastered and would re-connect everytime he hould yell KICK BOODIE over the PA system. No matter what new ride the Church would add in each year, the Kick Boodie was the main attraction having the longest line of waiting riders. My friend and I were so addicted to the ride we would show up on Monday when all the rides would start to arrive to the Church to be set up eventhough the carnival didn't open untill Thursday just so we could watch the owner pull in and set it up. I remember the last time I rode the ride on the last day of the carnival, I got to talk to the owner/operator who did travel in a motorcoach with the ride attached behind like in the photo you posted, only difference was the coach was red in color anyway, he told me he and a friend of his designed the ride and it was the only one of its kind as I played with his family dog that hung outside the coach when he was working. The dogs name was "Peaches" by the way. I told you we were addicted. The owner / operator told me to enjoy the ride cause he was not sure how much longer he was going to continue to operate it from carnival to carnival. I asked why he never brought the ride to state fairs like the Dade and Broward county fair, he said they required a special license and he could only have it at select carnivals and it was about time to hang it up. That was the last time I got to ride or even see the Kick Boodie. To this day when ever I pass a carnival or bring my kids to one, the first thing I do is look for the Kick Boodie in hopes someone has taken over the rains and brought it back. I have rode so may type's of ride's over the years and no matter what The Kick Boodie was the ONLY ride that was a blast and a challenge to ride all in one. Nothing can compare to the best ride of all time "The Kick Boodie"
