  1. Yeah, it looks like they're repurposing the old Sundance Theater building for a themed queue experience.
  2. The 120m length of the 70m model footprint is the exact distance between two holes that have been dug (Sundance and Lone Star Lils) at SFFT for 2022, and it could fit there right next to the railroad tracks. There is apparently a third hole, though, so who knows. I've been thinking about this since Zamperla's announcement earlier in the week, but today I went out to the park to visualize it and I have to say it would be very impressive/intimidating sitting there.
  3. ^They've been saying late this month or early next month for DDD opening. Looks like they're mainly finishing up theming elements right now.
  4. ^SFFT and SFOT cannot open any earlier than June 19. That being said, SFFT's park president said they'll be announcing their opening date tomorrow morning.
  5. You can cancel online, but not until you've had the membership for at least 12 months. Edit: If you go to https://sixflags.com/membership and then click the Manage Your Account button, you'll see the link to cancel.
  6. It'd probably be a good idea not to get any more involved in Galveston than they already are, things are a bit shady out there.
  7. This seems highly unlikely. Maybe Galveston, but definitely not New Braunfels.
  8. I don't know that I would consider any of those 3 to necessarily be reputable media outlets.
  9. I wouldn't trust any information he has. Nobody's going to give information to someone if they know they're just going to run and post it on Facebook immediately, and I'm pretty sure he has a pretty awful relationship with SFOT.
  10. Just a note, I believe Panda at SFFT has been closed since at least early December, but it looks like they're doing a lot of work there, including rebuilding the entire awning above it. I think there was probably a lot of work to be done inside, as well.
  11. In the press release they said ours is the tallest and fastest Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the Thrill Capital of South Texas, will debut the tallest and fastest spinning pendulum ride in the world. Named after the world’s most iconic Super Villain, The Joker Wild Card delivers a unique brand of chaotic, dizzying fun for extreme thrill- seekers. Towering a record-breaking 17-stories tall, this impressive giant disk will reach speeds up to 80 miles per hour as it whips back and forth, and higher and higher, to give riders a spectacular view of the world below them. The Joker Wild Card will become the centerpiece of a newly themed DC Universe area. The park is also announcing year-round operation, adding winter weekends and holidays to its regular operating season. See, but I suspect they're being tricky here, by saying "will debut the tallest and fastest spinning pendulum ride in the world." They already stated this is going to open in January, and since GAdv won't be open then, it WILL be the tallest and fastest - a record breaker - when it opens. It would appear that the GAdv version will likely tie that record whenever it opens at GAdv. Of course, that doesn't address the fact that apparently SFMM is is same as these two models... Makes me wonder if this will swing slightly higher, so SFFT can claim that record, albeit briefly. Of course, they may not really care about semantics, and are just marketing things fast and loose! Crazy. I know, SF would never do that! It's actually not supposed to open until mid-June. Pirates of the Deep Sea got pushed back to 2019 and will be opening at midnight January 1 for Diamond/Elite members, and grand opening on January 12.
  12. Everything from Rockville High to SKC will be part of DC Universe. Rockville will go from the train tracks to Hustler.
  13. It's probably getting a retheme to fit in with the new DC Universe area. Just as a follow up, the park confirmed tonight that it's getting a retheme to Crime Wave.
