  1. I'm half Lebanese and the other half is German, Austrian, Swedish and Blackfoot Indian.
  2. I thought it was pretty cool to see Valencia get blown up. I just though it was odd that 24 has filmed in the Santa Calrita Valley before but the time they detonate a nuke in Valencia, the filming locations were in fact not Valencia. We'll see if they use Valencia next week!
  3. Actually, I was talking to a co-worker who's pretty much ontop of things about global warming (he recommends us all to watch Inconvient Truth) and he was telling me that this global warming is actually throwing things off: giving us freak weather (like the coldness) and as said, offsetting things. I recall, a miserably hot summer (when I went to SFMW) and it remained spring/summer like through late October and November felt spring-like up to the Wii campout. Well, that was around here. Lastly, is Antarctica going through summer right now? Is 23 degrees (f) normal for that location? Well I've lived in Valencia since I was born in 1988. It snowed at my house in 1989 but hasn't since. Now it was pretty close last night and it's about 30 degrees outside right now. It's said it snows about every 20 years in Valencia, it seems more like a cycle rather than freak weather if you ask me. Of course, it's just my opinion.
  4. Well, to each his own opinion, but during my second viewing I enjoyed it almost as much as the first time. There're so many little details in the writing and things that occur that really add to theme that wouldn't have been able to see during the first viewing. Sorry, I will defend this movie to the death!
  5. 1. The Prestige 2. Deja Vu 3. Lady in the Water 4. Superman Returns 5. Snakes on a Plane I feel that The Prestige isn't getting the credit it deserves and I think The Departed is getting credit it doesn't deserve (yes I saw it and didn't care for it). But my opinion is kind of odd, I did like Lady in the Water you know!
  6. So, I've just read through 6 pages of people who've been bashing Rockin' Space Mountain with only 1 response from somebody who's actually ridden it and their comment was completely ignored. I feel that nobody here is even giving this ride a chance. And yes, I rode it yesterday and enjoyed it quite a bit. No, it's not better than the regular space mountain, but it's a completely new ride all on its own. The whole idea with the light show was really cool. And you could see the trick a bit which I think added to this whole new ride experience. So I think it deserves a chance. And if your only excuse is that you're Chili Peppers hater, then I guess don't ride Space Mountain or California Screamin' (much better with the new sound track) for the next 4 months. But I really think you'd be missing out.
  7. ^Yes he did as a matter of fact and I go to school with him? Maybe we go to the same school. But then again, there were two young simbas. And seeing as you don't live at a location close to Valencia, I'm assuming we never went to the same school.
  8. Just to let you know, I had a friend who was in the Lion King when it came to LA and he didn't even make it past the first round. So it's not always about singing, it's about image. And sometimes your image might be right but they reject you anyway. You never know what can happen.
  9. Friend: "I went to SFOT and rode this ride called Titan which is like Goliath at SFMM but so much taller and faster." Dad: :::stares at Goliath::: "Wow, that ride has a loop on its side, is that possible?" Another Friend: "Dude, S:TE once went backwards through the station and broke off the track and started rolling down the hill with people in it. That's why they never run the left side anymore." People in Valencia: "You can't go to SFMM anymore, it's closed." Kid: (Standing in about a 1 hour line for TTD) Says to me, "Hey man, you're brave enough to take on the Dragster? You're my main man, I'm glad to finally meet someone else brave enough!"
  10. ^Wow, I felt like I just read my own post! That's exactly how I felt about the movie.
  11. Well, I actually hated POTC2. The plot had too many holes and the characters were a little over the top if you ask me. Good sound track and all. Too much CGI. Go ride Pirates at DLR. To each his own opinion.
  12. 1. Top Thrill Dragster 2. Dueling Dragons: Fire 3. Space Mountain (DLR, new) 4. Rockin' Roller Coaster 5. Magnum XL-200 6. Ghostrider 7. Millennium Force 8. Revenge of the Mummy (USF) 9. California Screamin' 10. Tatsu
  13. So I had the chance to go the actual premiere itself on Saturday which was quite a treat. The red carpet led right to the ride which I thuroughly enjoyed and thought that the Davy Jones waterfall effect was amazing. I knew that we would see that as well as Jack Sparrow but seeing Barbossa suprised me in a good way! Unfortunately I didn't think that Dead Man's Chest was a very good sequal at all for many reasons. The short version being: too confusing and hard to follow, characters are so overdone that they are parodies of themselves and the movie is way too unrealistic. I know the first movie was unrealistic but not to the extreme that this sequal is.
  14. I still remember the rumor at my elementary school was that they sold pain killers at the exit of Flashback.
