  1. Thank you for the report. I went also on the openingsday and it was crowded in the morning! I filmed a onride with the GoPro on the coaster:

  4. Past saturday was Defqon.1 in Almere. The biggest outdoor hardstyle event in the world. Such a nice event!
  5. Trip 2: Mini update Beer evening (Lommel - 1th May 2010) A while ago, there was a beer tasting evening in my city. There were about 180 beers from big brewiers, and from people who just brew as a hobby. La Divine was our first beer. Not a bad beer. (9,5%) Schuppenboer was the best beer I drank that night! A very nice beer with a good taste. (8,5%) Some numbers are missing, so those beers where sold out. Offcourse some breweries had more stock than others. You could find the numbers in a book, so you know from which beer it was. The red numbers are the beers from the barrels, and the white ones where just from the bottles. The great book of beers. Balthazar, didnt really liked it. (9%) Friends and family of me. Straffe Hendrik. (9%) A food cart outside, cause if you drink, you get hungry. Went back 3 times. Bosprotter; not a great beer, but not so bad either (9%) Hertenheer, from the same hobby brewery as Schuppenboer. Liked their Schuppenboer better... (6,5%) Hopus, I didnt had one (8,5%) Brugse zot, a light beer which is not bad (6,5%)

  13. When you think of Belgium, there's probably not much that comes up your mind. But we are famous for one thing... BEER! With about approximately 8700 beers, we leave other countries far behind. In the past years, me and my family have been drinking a big range of different beers and have visited allot of cafe's. Now my idea was, why not take my camera with me to all the places where they serve my favorite alcohol. It's not without the risk though, when being drunk, stuff gets forgotten or gets broken. That reminds me, I still need to get my videocamera fixed from last year visiting Oktoberfest in Munich, when beer was spilled over. Trip 1 (Antwerpen - 16th of Januari 2010) Trip 2: Mini update Beer evening (Lommel - 1th May 2010) For the first beertrip of 2010, we were visiting Antwerpen. A big city here in Belgium, with much sightseeing places and perfect for shopping! Trip 1 (Antwerpen - 16th of Januari 2010) Mmmmm, cookie! But a visit to Antwerp needs a stop at Subway! About 18.00, it was still raining, but you don't give a f*ck about anything when you are feeling a bit tipsy. Well, at this point we were feeling a little bit drunk, so we started throwing beer cards at each other. (We put them back afterwards). And of course I was skipping to the page with attractions and themeparks. I decided to read a book... Typical toilets for a cafe. But the windows stopped me. :'( Oh my god, I want to break into this room!! :o My Cousin had a Bush de Noël with 13%! Crazy motherf*cker! Lol, the glass was nicely done. I had a Silent Night, and indeed, you get silent from it... (12%!) More beer advertising. They even had books to read, or wipe your mouth with when you had to vomit. Nice atmosphere in here too! Notice the spelling... But after a quick check we saw that it was going to open in 20 minutes! Next stop was De Kulminator, but it wasn't open... "We come from the land of chocolate" Can you imagine the knights sitting at these tables? I don't cause it's quite dark... Another picture from the cafe. Some oldschool decoration. But we got popcorn with it! Very strange, cause normally you get nuts or cheese with beer. But there is a downside about the special decoration and atmosphere. The prices were quite high! So we just ordered a simple lager, but that was quite expensive too. :s There wasn't much light, so I made the picture brighter. The cafe was downstairs. And the stories were true! It was decorated as a medieval dungeon or something, the only light came from candles! After a while, we found it! I heard some stories about it, how it was decorated... Next stop was Pelgrom. But we knew only the street name... (And it was starting to rain!) And if you can't get enough of beer when leaving a cafe, there is always a store nearby. He ordered a Lucifer. (8,4%) Next up for me was Kwak. Notice the special glass? Well, the key is to drink it slowly, cause when after a while, there is getting air in the round bubble at the bottom, you get a tidal wave of beer on your shirt if you drink too fast! Even more advertising decoration. I really like the beer decoration! My cousins beer was Malheur 10, and as the name says it, it was 10% We won't! But I really wanted to lure the nice girl behind the tap, with some cookies. Nice interior. Three pages of beer. My beer was a Tripel Karmeliet (8%). No free table on the first floor. Beer advertising. Our first special beer cafe was Paters Vaetje. A nice place, but quite small and a bit crowded. Italian restaurant, they had very nice pizzas inside. See the guy with the white vest, standing outside the door? He tries to lure you inside with sweet words. If that doesn't work, he will try to hypnotize you. And if your mind is too strong, he will kidnap you and jam pizzas and pasta down your throat. Girls only bar... I wonder what happens inside... "Hello! Are you single?" If I could skate, this would be my deck! "One gallon please!" That's one big bear! Or getting beer from a tap! My god, every store should have beer and shavers! But here you could shave yourself! Another electronics store was Saturn. Shopping street with alot of beggers. Every city should have one! You can watch television when taking the escalator. Tested some speakers with my Ipod. The other customers were not so happy about it... We decided we stopped at Media Markt first, a giant store with electronic equipment. Another picture for the Mc Donalds fetish fans. Outside the railway center you can find different stores, mostly Jewish jewellery shops but also a Mc Donalds and other stuff. Stairs to the platforms. The entrance hall of the trainstation. Our first beer was just a simple lager, but not bad. (5,2%) Offcourse we were very thirsty after the train ride, so we decided our first stop would be a simple cafe at the trainstation. Notice the floors downstairs, there are platforms too. At about 12.00 we arrived at Antwerpen Centraal, a very nice trainstation! My 18 year old cousin, who was joining me. (we are already drinking heavy beers when he was 15).
  14. You're welcome! You really need to come to Belgium then!
