  1. Even Blazing Fury? Several years ago, I was there in December on a very cold day and, if I remember correctly, it was open but the other coasters were closed. The water level appeared to have been lowered so that riders didn't get soaked just lightly sprinkled.
  2. Actually, using rcdb census figures I calculated the most densely roller coaster populated country to be Malta at 1 per 121 sq. miles. Second was Bahrain at 1 per 126.5 sq. miles. UK was 1 per 559 and Japan 1 per 623.5 sq. miles. Sadly, the US is much further down the list at 1 per 5,837 sq. miles. However, the US does have more coasters than any other country which is what you meant I think.
  3. I hope it was play money because you just committed the cardinal sin of investing: not diversifying.
  4. I saw him on a TV program (I think Discovery Channel) a couple of weeks ago where he analyzed Fahrenheit. It was very interesting.
  5. SFOG Get rid of Ninja. At least Deja Vu was a good ride when it was running. Hire responsible adults as ride ops. Do we really need a security guard in every station so that my half drunk Coke doesn't get stolen? Dollywood/Herschend Either lower the price of season passes or make the super gold pass valid for admission and free parking at all of your parks. For the same price, a Cedar Fair platinum pass gets me into not 2, not 3, not even 6 but 18!!! different parks and free parking.
  6. Several years ago, Bass Pro proposed a "theme park" for the Seiverville area (close to Pigeon Forge). Of course, it never panned out and all they built was a store. Hopefully, the Pyramid Harbor project will be built.
  7. The confusion of ownership of Wet 'N' Wild probably stems from the fact that NBC Universal jointly owns Universal Orlando with the Blackstone Group. Universal Orlando, according to the Blackstone portfolio, consists of Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk. Also, the Universal Studios Recreation Group no longer exists and has been replaced by Universal Parks & Resorts which is a division of NBC Universal. If you want more complication, NBC Universal is owned by GE and Vivendi. If Wet 'N' Wild is owned solely by Universal Parks & Resorts and not under the Universal Orlando division, it could be a dilemma of a business decision to move the waterpark onto Universal Orlando property. Just a theory, as I could not find ownership of the park listed in either the Universal or Blackstone portfolios.
