  1. While I don't post very often, I've been here with you guys for a long, long time and it's been a fantastic journey! Thanks for the blast from the past!
  2. I'll be visiting the park for the first time since 2013 this summer. Just a quick question. Are Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka still barred from operating at the same time? If so, is this hampering operations?
  3. If birds are flying around the park, does that mean it's possible for guests to do their best Fabio impression?
  4. Pretty much everything at PAX is on YouTube within hours. If this was shown at PAX, we would have seen it by now.
  5. This is awesome since my RCT2 disc was damaged beyond repair a few years ago! RCT1 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/285310/ RCT2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/285330/
  6. The ride is freaking awesome! I got 18 rides in, tying my record for most rides on a single coaster in one day.
  7. I was one of the people chosen for the first ride! Expect a full PTR!
  8. My phone is not cooperating with me and won't let me import my pictures, but I'd like to to give big Thank You to my Secret Santa for the amazing Doctor Who Monopoly! Me and my brother had a great time playing it!
  9. It's also important to know that this ride only takes up the splashdown/station area of Rim Runner. The lift hill and the large boat storage area is still open and they could easily fit 2 or 3 more flat rides in there in addition to El Loco.
  10. A few days ago, I went up to Circus Circus to see the new construction of El Loco as well as look at the new Chuck Jones museum right next door. Therefore, I have decided to break my 3 years of inactivity on this site by posting a Photo Trip Report! Construction is well underway in the "Passage of Time" Through the fence! The former Rim Runner entrance. It looks so empty up here without the queue! The station is still here. It's so weird seeing this. Then again, It was also weird seeing this shot without the dinosaurs about 10 years ago... Through the fence! I don't think El Loco will use the same station, but they did keep the air gates. Perhaps we're getting a new flat here? This view looks a lot different now. Here is the huge plot of land where El Loco will soon stand. More More More I don't have a clue what this is, but it's cool...right? More construction stuff. This used to be Rim Runner's turn into the station. Back in the day, there were water cannons to shoot the riders. They have been gone since the late 90s Same I don't have a clue what this netting is for. Maybe to prevent people from throwing things on the track? If so, It failed miserably. This part is still pretty much intact. The Passage of Time area. Former Splashdown area Several of the midway games were taken out. Perhaps for the El Loco Queue? Same This really is a lot of space. It didn't look like it when the rock were there. It's sad not seeing boats drop down here anymore. Random brick wall. More construction! More construction! Here is the former turn before the lift hill. If El Loco only takes up the Splashdown, They could easily fit two more flats in here. There are some parts of Rim Runner still standing. Same R.I.P. Rim Runner Queue. So, I don't exactly know what this is. I thought it was coaster track, but there is only one and it seems far too soon for track to show up. Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped. The signs have been updated! Let's look at the rest of the park! Canyon Blaster was running surprisingly well today! I think the new trains made a huge difference. Loop! This would be an awesome shot if there were people on this train! Almost. Better. This still makes people in line for the simulator jump. Awesome shot. Anyone want to spend $8 for a hamburger? Me neither. Hello, Disk-O! Inverter was closed again. This ride has been breaking down a lot lately. Sling-Shot What's This? This is new. I didn't go in, as it was upcharge. But from what I understand, You have a set amount of time to get through a laser maze without touching anything. It looks cool. The scoreboard. The SimEx is now running Happy Feet. Sadly, They removed the fake movie posters. Too bad. "Chaos has broken down" "Mechanic 1 is fixing the ride" "Chaos has been fixed" After an hour at Adventuredome, I decided to walk down the hall to check out the new Chuck Jones museum that opened a few months ago. For those of you who don't know, Chuck Jones was one of the head directors of the Looney Tunes shorts and he was the creator of the Road Runner and Coyote. As a long time fan, This place was awesome! In the front was a little play area for kids. There was also a studio that holds workshops every day. More of the studio They had everything from cups to original animation cels for sale! The highlight is a cool walk-through attraction. The entrance. Chuck's desk from the studio. Road Runner on the desk. It's interesting to note that the safety rope was literally touching the desk. There is nothing preventing some person from stealing or drawing on it. Let's hope nothing like that happens. Awesome license plates Chuck's Bookshelf Old Projector Bugs behind the scenes The Termite Terrace crew This window was actually a movie screen that constantly moved. More stuff There were several cool photo spots here. The man himself More random stuff This is probably as close as I will come to holding an academy award. This area was cool. It gave out random Looney Tunes facts whenever you pull the handle on the left. This entire wall was playing Looney Tunes shorts. More This is from "Hollywood Daffy" from 1946. One of my favorites. This was supposed to be a workshop where you record music and sound effects for a cartoon, but it wasn't working. They also had a zoetrope The history of the Coyote/Road Runner The Coyote/Road Runner rules A list of all the Chuck Jones cartoons To top it all off, They even had a theater showing a documentary on Looney Tunes. As a cartoon fan as well as a coaster fan, having these two places right next to each other is really amazing. I'll even tolerate going to Circus Circus. You could tell that they put a lot of time and effort to make the walk-through perfect and it didn't disappoint. El Loco is also coming along great and I hope to get more pictures of construction soon! Have a good evening, TPR!
  11. When I was little, I actually wanted to see racing/dueling coasters with at least 10 completely different tracks twisting around each other. The tracks will also not be colored so you will not be able to see what track you are on and, Like Maverick, there would be at least 5 trains in sight at all times.
  12. Here's an awesome one of me from last weekend! I have no friends
  13. I just don't understand this. For the last two years, Circus Circus has been telling us Adventuredome was getting a mass upgrade, including a new coaster, and then they scrap it in order to build a water park when two are already being built within a 20 minute drive. What were they thinking? Adventuredome is a good park but desperately needs to be fixed up. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer.
