  1. Maybe they should just let you put your own lap bar down, and avoid the issue altogether?
  2. Day 3, part 2: Six Flags Fiesta Texas Before starting the photo update, I have to praise the park for really going out of their way to make our visit the best it can be. We all received green VIP badges and a gold q-bots (or flash passes as they call it) and the combination meant no waits for most rides. They allowed us to select the front row on Goliath even though it's not typically available with flash passes. And we had our own private seating area for the laser and fireworks show. --Luko And no TPR update is complete without a shot of the back of the bus peeps. Celebrity sighting: Hey Shawn! The guardian of the loop Superman! This thing is amazing coming down the cliff. Romp Bomp and Stomp The Rattler! Boomerang Coast to Coaster, a ride so good you have to ride it twice Goliath, a parking lot coaster with a strong resemblance to Batman the ride. Arriving at Six Flags Fiesta Texas Hey, everybody! It's snack time! Before anything else, I have to post the photo of dancing girls on the speed boat by popular request
  3. Day 3, part 1: More Kemah --Luko We were also treated to a stingray exhibit where you could get up close and personal with these unusual creatures. After the exhibit we had an amazing buffet lunch and the park has shown us a video of the devastation of Kemah by hurricane Ike and the rebuilding efforts. And this is the after photo. Oh, and the ride is designed to get the unsuspecting passengers as wet as possible. This is the before photo. Then we went to the Boardwalk Beast - a speedboat ride that lives up to its name. First we started with ERT on the Boardwalk Bullet. This coaster reaches amazing speeds, and does hairpin turns. Nice! The back of the bus crew is ready to ride. Today we had some special treats planned at Kemah.
  4. Day 2, part 2 --Luko Upon arriving at the hotel, I tried watching some TV, but it seems the TV has crashed. ...the weather wasn't quite cooperating with us. Thankfully the storm passed, and by 10:15pm we were able to grab a few rides on the Bullet before the park closed for the night. We came to ride the little coaster called the Boardwalk Bullet, but... Some people come to ride roller coasters in style Next stop: Kemah Boardwalk More fun on the bus Just in case you forgot the name of the place They also have a kiddie coaster We stopped at a small place called iT'z for lunch
  5. Yes! It is very intense. My vision almost goes completely black on the first helix. I did a lot of boomerangs, and this one seems average. Not bad overall. --Luko
  6. Oh, yes. It's the first video on the DVD list. --Luko
  7. Day 2.... Our bus even had tables inside 3) Don't be late for the bus 2) Stay seated at all times Trip rules: 1) Clean up after yourself This is our bus Titan, another great ride Don't know how to pronounce this ride This one is for Tyler Don't ride if you have a heart condition... Gary can't wait to ride Morning checks of the rides
  8. Day 1: Six Flags over Texas Day 2: Six Flags over Texas, iT'z, Kemah Boardwalk --Luko Reserving one of the great rides on our gold Q-bots, also known as Flash Passes. This was our hotel for the first night. VERY close to the coasters. Inside the restaurant Some of us took an afternoon break and had a nice meal at a place called Humperdinks We were treated to a nice ERT on the Shockwave La Vibora, the best bobsled ride I've ever been on Pay attention to the warnings. First park of the trip. Welcome to Texas!
  9. Before I left for work yesterday, I left it to download the file, but it stoppped downloading at 300 megs, so I tried again in the afternoon. I noticed that the morning and evening files are different - the first file is double-compressed (.zip.gz fle) while the later one is only single-compressed (.zip file). Second download works fine, and plays perfectly in my Divx player. --Luko
  10. I hope not too many. I didn't have problems with anyone on the trip, and those few people that were acting up were creating more entertainment than harm. Easily forgiving, Luko P.S. I'm still trying to get all my photos and videos in order, and will start my trip updates soon. In the meantime, you can check the photos in my gallery bellow.
  11. East Coast - Day 5 Today we spent (most of) the day at Six Flags America in Maryland. It was voted once again to leave early and get extra sleep for the day at Busch Gardens. --Luko Since we left the park early, we had extra time for a Walmart ERT. Advertising provided by Schwarzkopf, the roller coaster and styling gel manufacturer. An amusement park is not supposed to have guests see these kind of "ruins". Most of us took a ride on the Blizzard River water ride before heading for lunch. Superman Ride of Steel runs very different from it's New England cousin. Our ERT started on Batwing, the Vekoma flyer.
  12. It was actually a very handsome skunk, makes you want to pet it. --Luko Skunk at Kings Dominion
  13. East Coast - Day 4 Today was a short day Six Flags Great Adventure. Rain started around 1 pm, and continued throughout the day. --Luko 5pm we had a mandatory meet, where it was decided to pull early and leave the park 3 hours before we were supposed to. After the rain started, the only operating coaster was Dark Knight, making for one loooong line. The amazing pretzel loop on Superman: Ultimate Flight. Great American Scream Machine still provides a great Arrow experience. Day started great, with ERT on El Toro.
  14. East Coast - Day 3 More Six Flags New England followed by a surprise park (Rye Playland). --Luko Superflight at Rye: Can anyone say Zamperla Volare? Damn, those height limits. Mouse coaster at Rye: Denied! Q-bot: "You want to reserve a boomerang? Are you insane?" Anyone needs a statue credit? Superman: Ride of Steel ERT was awesome!
  15. East Coast - Day 2 Day 2 was Six Flags New England, Quassy and Lake Compounce. --Luko The "surprise" ERT of the night - kiddie coaster at Lake Compounce ...followed by some rain. We had a slight parking mishap at Quassy... Lunch ERT. New Six Flags Policy...
