Did you attend haunt last year?It was pretty good then so I'm expecting the same level of quality again this year as well. No this will only be my second trip ever to KD (first was about 2 months ago). My job has sent me to Richmond for some training and this will be my second of several trips this year to the area. I'm by myself for 2 weeks so KD and BGW were welcome breaks in the monotony of hotel life.

Can't wait to hear some impressions this weekend. Heading back to Richmond in mid October and trying to decide on doing the Haunt at KD or HOS at BGW. Currently leaning heavily toward KD. My only fear is that quality is sacrificed for quantity...please tell me otherwise!

This Saturday at BGW...am I crazy if I choose that day to attend? Obviously Saturday would be the busiest day, but I don't have a lot of options. However, I don't want to risk it if the park will be absolutely unable to be navigated.

So...I'm in Richmond, but haven't gone to KD yet. I need some advice on the best day (that I have available) to go. The options are: this Friday from around 1pm to close, all day Saturday, or all day Sunday. Also...I am going to BGW on the weekend as well, so that's something else to consider. My initial plan was BGW Saturday and KD Sunday. However, I will be done with my work duties around 1130 on Friday, so that is why that day is now an option. I just want to try and go on the best day possible even though fri-sun isn't ideal.

New Texas Giant, around 11:30pm during Texas Giant Bash. Backseat was insane that night.

OK...I'll be heading to KD on th 18th as soon as my plane lands around 11:45 am. Does anyone have a suggested plan of attack that will allow me to do everything before park closing? Also, is the water park worth visiting? I'll be by myself but don't mind the creepiness of solo-dude-waterparking, especially if it's hot outside. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated. This will be my first visit to the park.

King's Dominion on July 18th! First visit ever to KD...can't wait for I-305!

Just finished reading the pages and pages of KD vs BGW debate. I have a small interest in this because my work is shipping me to Richmond for 2 weeks in july and I would like to visit one of the parks during the weekend of July 23/24. I visited BGW in 2007, so Griffon would be something new. I have never been to KD, however, and that is the park I'm leaning toward. I may try to visit KD on the day of my arrival (monday july 18) and attempt to do the park in 2/3s of day. Would this be possible, or would anyone suggest waiting til the weekend to give myself an entire day? Would like to avoid crowds if possible, and if I do the monday thing, I just may attempt BGW on the weekend. Not sure if that would be smart either. Regardless, I will be alone and bored so anything will be welcome. WTH is there to do in this area besides KD and BGW?!?!?!

Man...I've always wanted to attend a TPR event, but the scheduling has never worked out. Now this one is 3 hrs away...I need to find a babysitter. BTW, first post but literally been lurking for years.
