  1. SFOG and SFOT are also independently owned, although they are operated by Six Flags Co. they are not owned by them.
  2. ^That is a stage for the Lite the Nite music show before the fireworks.
  3. It could also be that people are there to ride Lightning Rod but didn't get the memo that.... #ItllNeverOpen
  4. Very good stuff! Especially enjoyed the footage of Thunderhead which is IMHO the best ride in the park.
  5. Not sure if this helps but we ordered season passes towards the end of December when they were running the special on the gold combo pass and it stated that the passes must be picked up before the end of December to get the deal and we had no problem picking them up in April.
  6. To me, the Georgia Scorcher has a cool roar to it, not the loudest but pretty loud walking beside it coming into the park.
  7. #1)Goliath #2)MindBender #3)Georgia Scorcher #4)Would sadly be Viper were she still around-coolest theming of an coaster ever in my opinion.
  8. Sorry, I thought they were closed the entire weekend, not just Monday. And I wasn't trying to start anything, if you do a search for Atlantic bike week, even the official website is titled "Black Bike Week."
  9. I don't think it will hurt this park that much. Family Kingdom is a free admission park that for the most part is for smaller kids who's parents will continue to take them to rather than paying $50 to take them to HRP. Our family will be heading down in 2 weeks and we will get our annual Swamp Fox credit, I agree it is not a bad coaster especially in the front. We will ride the Swamp Fox several times along with the log flume, yo-yo swings, and slingshot.
  10. I wonder if the park intentionally closed this weekend due to "Black Bike Week." I know that most of the businesses in Myrtle Beach close every Memorial Day weekend due to this event. I would advise that if you are going to Myrtle Beach during this time for anything but bike week, don't go.
  11. I would be at the gate early if possible, last year we were able to get into the park and ride Goliath twice before the park was actually scheduled to open. I agree I would head for Goliath first, then swing around to Superman. Then hit GASM if you like woodies, Ninja if you must, I would probably head towards Gotham City then and ride Mindbender, then Batman, then Georgia Scorcher, Georgia Cyclone, Acrophobia, Mine Train. If you are just wanting credits, you can then ride the Canyon Blaster then head for the Monster Plantation near there. Don't Miss(in order IMO): Goliath, Mindbender, Georgia Scorcher, GASM, Superman, Acrophobia, Monster Plantation, Mine Train Hope you enjoy your trip to SFOG, and I hope my tips help.
  12. First of all, great TR. I think MRPM will be a very unique ride, but I am concerned that it could possibly have load problems. I love any park after dark and love the fact that HRP is open from 10am until 1am each day during the summer. I agree it is a little bare right now, but I think it will grow. Myrtle Beach is such a huge vacation spot and when people travel there, they don't care how much money they spend, so the park will stay busy during the summer. I don't think we will have to worry about the park closing. I can't wait to check it out mid-June while I am on vacation there.
  13. Here is my entry. tpr.bmp From Matterhorn to Draky, I've come a long way!!
  14. Interestingly enough, I read the whole thing and am actually waiting on part 2.
