  1. Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier! Going August 6th!
  2. Here’s Part 2 of Day 2! Elvis’ gravesite (RIP) Elvis’ famous pink Cadillac And...back in Mississippi for dinner and to our hotel! Apparently, The Rock was influenced by Elvis too! Peabody Duck March Another shot I got of the mansion Just a few records Elvis’ actual uniform from “Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite.” In fact, 2018 is the 45th anniversary of that famous concert. This Bass Pro store puts my local one to shame! It even has a freaking BOWLING ALLEY!! Just a few records Graceland has an entire exhibit dedicated to when Elvis was in the army. We’re here at the biggest Bass Pro shop in the world! Seriously, this thing is massive! This even used to an arena where the Memphis Grizzlies played before moving to the FedEx Forum. Pretty cool backdrop in my opinion Took this shot of The I-40 bridge on the way to Bass Pro. Graceland’s gates Got a grilled PB&B (peanut butter and banana) sandwich from Gladys’ Diner! This was delicious! It was grilled with bacon grease as well. Wait, didn’t Batman’s parents get killed here? A few buildings in Downtown Memphis. Why, hello there! More pictures coming soon! This is a set from a movie based on Elvis. My phone also died in this exhibit, but I charged it on the way to Downtown Memphis.
  3. Thank you! And no, I didn’t get to eat there. I had actually wanted to eat at BB King’s, but my dad didn’t want to pay a lot for dinner, so we ended up eating at Fazoli’s in Southaven, which I didn’t complain about since Fazoli’s shut down all of their Houston locations. Although now that you mention it, I wish I could have!
  4. Okay, so I was originally going to do one update per day, but I did not want to spend 11 days on one thread, so now I’m going to do two updates per day. Anyways, onto the second day of the trip. So on this day, we checked out Graceland and then headed over to Downtown Memphis to watch the Peabody duck march and the Bass Pro pyramid. As a big Elvis fan, Graceland is a place I have been wanting to go to for quite some time now, and with the recent expansion that was completed last year, this was the perfect time to go. We checked out the planes first, followed by the mansion, and then checked out the museums that were added last year. The complex was so big and I took so many pictures that my phone died towards the end of our Graceland visit, but I charged it while we were driving from Graceland to Downtown Memphis. Anyways, we saw the Peabody duck march, which we didn’t see much of since we got there about 5 minutes before the march started, plus the duckmaster’s speech was longer than the march itself. The march was pretty cool, and I did get some pictures. So after the march, we headed over to the Bass Pro pyramid, which in my opinion, puts my local Bass Pro shop to shame. This is definitely the best Bass Pro shop out of all of them, but I was really bummed because we couldn’t do the observation deck, which cost money. Anyways though, time for me to shut up and get on with the pictures. Because of the amount of pictures I took, the report for Day Two will be split into two parts. The second part will be uploaded tomorrow. Graceland’s butt Elvis’ TV room is actually kinda neat Only 2 people at a time can tour the Hound Dog II due to its small size. AHHH!! IT’S ELVIS!!! OH MY GOSH I WANT TO TOUCH HIS HAND!!! (I didn’t actually touch the portrait) The kitchen Uncle Jesse is our tour guide! Also, sorry that the picture is sideways, though I guess you could see the mistake I made in the picture. Probably the best room in the mansion: the jungle room Time to tour the Lisa Marie. Here we are! Been wanting to see this for a while now so it was very exciting seeing this in person for the first time, especially because I’m a big Elvis fan. Been wanting to see this for a while now so it was very exciting seeing this in person for the first time, especially because I’m a big Elvis fan. Waiting for the shuttle to take us to the mansion! (that shuttle in the picture wasn’t ours) AHHH!! IT’S ELVIS!!! OH MY GOSH I WANT TO TOUCH HIS HAND!!! (I didn’t actually touch the portrait) I must say, I love the new plaza! Another shot of the jungle room Elvis’ dining room Couldn’t forget about his other jet, the Hound Dog II. Hello again, Tennessee! First room in the mansion: the living room/music room And a model of his birthplace that we couldn’t go to because it’s an hour and a half away from Memphis and we didn’t have the time. More pictures coming soon! Baby Elvis and his parents, Gladys and Vernon But this room is even better!
  5. Basically just walked around the mall and checked out the Crayola Experience.
  6. So I just got home yesterday from a road trip with my family that included stops in Memphis, TN and Minneapolis, MN. This is my first trip report I’ve ever done, so hopefully it goes well. So here’s what me and my family did each day: Day 1 (Saturday 7/7): Driving from Houston to Memphis Day 2 (Sunday 7/8): Graceland/Memphis sightseeing Day 3 (Monday 7/9): Driving from Memphis to Minneapolis Day 4 (Tuesday 7/10); Paisley Park/Mall of America for dinner Day 5 (Wednesday 7/11): Valleyfair Day 6 (Thursday 7/12): Nickelodeon Universe Day 7 (Friday 7/13): Mall day Day 8 (Saturday 7/14): Como Zoo and Conservatory/Minnehaha Falls Day 9 (Sunday 7/15): Crystal Cave/Sculpture Garden/MOA Day 10 (Monday 7/16): Spam Museum/Driving from Minneapolis to Joplin, MO Day 11 (Tuesday 7/17): Driving from Joplin, MO to Houston So onto the first day. It took about 11 and a half hours in total to get from Houston to Memphis, and that included stops for food, gas, and bathroom. Driving wasn't too bad, but we did get caught in rain while driving on US 59 between Houston and Lufkin. We also took a wrong turn when we got to Memphis. Instead of turning right at the cloverleaf interchange after the I-55 bridge, we went straight and into a pretty shady part of Memphis near downtown. Lucklily though, we turned around and got back onto I-55 and drove into Southaven, MS, where our hotel was, which was a Holiday Inn. One weird thing at the hotel was that they were displaying some things that they were selling at an auction, including a picture of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash together. I didn't take very many pictures on this day since we just drove, but I’ll still post some stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these before, but this is at a gas station in Marshall, TX. This is not the Atlanta you’re looking for. Goodbye Texas! Hello Arkansas! *insert Bill Clinton quote here* Downtown Little Rock Horrible picture, but here’s the Tennessee welcome sign on the I-55 bridge over the Mississippi River. And then about 10 minutes later, we hit another state: Mississippi! We stayed in Southaven beacuse the crime rates are lower. I’ll add pictures from the second day very soon, so stay tuned!
  7. Looks very nice! I wanna make my own set in Sao Paulo, Brazil (it wouldn't have DC or LT theming though since I also wanna make a Warner park set in Rio de Janeiro), but since I procrastinate a lot, it probably won't make it pass the thought phase. Edit: I wish this park was real cuz I would really want to go there.
  8. That may be the funniest clickbait thumbnail I've ever seen! I swear, that should be the cover art for a theme park tycoon game!
  9. I still need to get there eventually! Tokyo Disney is one of my bucket list theme parks, and DisneySea alone just makes me wanna go!
  10. Mine from 2017 Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Wildfire at Silver Dollar City Flight of the Hippogriff at Universal Studios Hollywood Pretty obvious (RIP) Sierra Sidewinder at Knott’s Berry Farm
  11. Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City! Also my current favorite coaster (even though I only rode it once)!
